Entebbe–Kampala Expressway
The Entebbe–Kampala Expressway, also known as the Kampala–Entebbe Expressway or the Entebbe–Kampala Highway, is a four-lane toll highway in the Central Region, Uganda, Central Region of Uganda. The highway links Entebbe International Airport, the country's largest civilian and military airport, to Kampala, the country's capital and largest metropolitan area. Originally, the highway was planned for commissioning in 2016, but because of the delayed works, commissioning was done on 15 June 2018 by Uganda's sitting president, Yoweri Museveni. In January 2023, the Uganda Minister for Works and Transport, Gen. Katumba Wamala, launched the toll point at Kajjansi along Kampala–Entebbe Road. New Vision
The ''New Vision'' is a Ugandan English-language daily newspaper. It was established in its current form in 1986 by the Government of Uganda. It is the flagship newspaper of the state-owned Vision Group, a multimedia conglomerate. Along with its privately-owned competitor, the ''Daily Monitor'', the ''New Vision'' is one of the two largest national newspapers in Uganda. Masaka
Masaka is a city in the Central Region, Uganda, Buganda Region in Uganda, west of Lake Victoria. The city is the headquarters of Masaka District. Location Masaka is approximately to the south-west of Kampala on the highway to Mbarara. The city is close to the Equator. Lira, Uganda
Lira is a city in the Northern Region, Uganda, Northern Region of Uganda. It serves as the main urban center of the Lango sub-region. On July 1, 2020, Lira was officially elevated to city status as part of Uganda's government plan to create new cities across the country. Following this elevation, Lira City became a separate administrative entity distinct from Lira District. History Lira was one of the last towns in Uganda held by loyalists of Idi Amin during the Uganda–Tanzania War (1978–1979). A force consisting of the Tanzania People's Defence Force's 201st Brigade and the Uganda National Liberation Front's Kikosi Maalum attacked Lira on 15 May 1979, ousting the Amin loyalists after a Battle of Lira, short battle.
