Enock Maki
Enock Maki (born 9 December 1989) is a Papua New Guinean rugby league footballer who previously played for the Papua New Guinea Hunters, PNG Hunters in the Intrust Super Cup and also represented Papua New Guinea national rugby league team, Papua New Guinea in the 2013 Rugby League World Cup, 2013 World Cup and 2017 Rugby League World Cup. Background Enock comes from the Western Highlands Province of Papua New Guinea in a small village called Keltiga outside the provincial capital Mount Hagen. He is the third child in a family of four, his older brothers are Wilson and Junior Maki. Wilson Maki played for Mount Hagen Eagles in 2003, and was forced to quit due to injuries. Enock followed soon after and with his build he caught the eyes of the Eagles selectors and in 2008 he was the sought after player in the Papua New Guinea National Rugby League, Digicel Cup competition. Mount Hagen () is the third largest city in Papua New Guinea, with a population of 46,250. It is the capital of the Western Highlands, Papua New Guinea, Western Highlands Province and is located in the large fertile Wahgi Valley in central mainland Papua New Guinea, at an elevation of . The University of Papua New Guinea (UPNG) is a university located in Port Moresby, capital of Papua New Guinea. It was established by ordinance of the Australian administration in 1965. This followed the Currie Commission which had enquired into higher education in Papua New Guinea. The University of Papua New Guinea Act No. 18, 1983 bill repealing the old Ordinance was passed by the National Parliament in August 1983. The university has moved from a departmental to a school structure to foster interdisciplinary and inter-school relationships.
