The Indonesia Open is the national open golf championship of Indonesia, and traditionally held in the capital, Jakarta. History The Indonesia Open was founded in 1974 as an event on the Asia Golf Circuit. It remained on the circuit until the end of the 1996 season, after which it joined the rival Asian PGA's Omega Tour for the 1997 season. Having not been held between 1998 and 2004, the Indonesian Open returned in 2005 as a co-sanctioned event on both the Asian Tour and the European Tour. It remained a fixture on the tours through the 2009 season after which it joined the rival OneAsia tour. In 2012 it was the opening event of that tour's calendar and was also an unofficial event on the Japan Golf Tour. In 2013, it returned to the Asian Tour and moved from March to late November/early December. Scott Vincent (golfer)
Scott Nicholas Vincent (born 20 May 1992) is a Zimbabwean professional golfer who plays on the Japan Golf Tour, Asian Tour and LIV Golf. He has won three times on the Japan Golf Tour. In 2022 he won the International Series England on the Asian Tour, as well as the International Series Order of Merit. He represented Zimbabwe in the 2018 World Cup of Golf and the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics, being the first Zimbabwean golfer to do so. Professional career Vincent turned professional in 2015. Justin Adam Harding (born 9 February 1986) is a South African professional golfer. Amateur career Harding attended Paul Roos Gymnasium in Stellenbosch, South Africa, and played college golf at Lamar University in Texas and represented his country as an amateur golfer. Professional career Having graduated, he earned a place on the Sunshine Tour at the first attempt, finishing third at the 2009 qualifying school while still an amateur. Rashid Khan (born 15 February 1991) is an Indian professional golfer. As an amateur, Khan played on the Indian team that won the silver medal at the Golf at the 2010 Asian Games, 2010 Asian Games. Gaganjeet Singh Bhullar (born 27 April 1988) is an Indian professional golfer who plays on the Asian Tour. He was awarded Arjuna Award in 2013. Amateur career Bhullar was born to Sikh parents in Kapurthala, India. He was India's number one amateur in 2004 and 2006 and was part of the Indian team that won the silver medal at the 2006 Asian Games. He finished in a tie for seventh in the individual competition. Lee Chieh-po (, born 1 November 1994), also known as Max Lee, is a Taiwanese professional golfer. Early life and family Lee was born in Taipei, Taiwan. He has been known as Max since he was six. Amateur career Lee represented Asia-Pacific in the 2014 Bonallack Trophy. Professional career Lee turned professional in 2015. Most of his early career was spent playing in Taiwan and on lower level tours, including the PGA Tour China and Asian Development Tour.
