It is partly based on the true story of Jack Henry Abbott. Synopsis The story is set in Central Industrial Prison, a privately run maximum security prison in the middle of the Australian desert. An outbreak of violence within the prison has resulted in a total lockdown. A committee is appointed by the prison's governors to investigate the cause of the outbreak, but their findings are in stark contrast to the facts behind the riot. It is revealed that both the prisoners and the guards are slowly and deliberately brutalised, manipulated and provoked into the forthcoming eruption of violence by the government and the private company that runs the prison, in order to justify the construction of a new and more "secure" facility. Harris English (born July 23, 1989) is an American professional golfer and currently a member of the PGA Tour. Amateur career Born in Valdosta, Georgia, English attended The Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tennessee, for high school, graduating in 2007. While at Baylor, English won a 2005 Tennessee individual state title, and won four Tennessee team state titles from 2004 to 2007. Committing as a high school junior to the University of Georgia in Athens, English played on the Bulldog golf team and graduated in 2011 with a business degree. Grace English
Grace Geraldine English (1891-4 December 1956) was a British painter and etcher. Biography English was born in London and as a teenager spent time in Paris and Germany. In Germany she met I. A. R. Wylie and produced illustrations for her book on the Black Forest. Returning to London in 1912 she studied at the Slade School of Art in the city until 1914. At the Slade she won a painting prize. During World War I, English worked in a munitions factory and also produced machine drawings. After the war she studied etching at the Royal College of Art during 1921. Throughout her career English painted portraits, flowers and ballet dancers. Her work was shown by the New Society of Artists and she was a regular exhibitor at the Royal Academy and at the New English Art Club and with the Royal Society of British Artists and the Royal Society of Portrait Painters.
