A nacelle ( ) is a streamlined container for aircraft parts such as engines, fuel or equipment. When attached entirely outside the airframe, it is sometimes called a pod, in which case it is attached with a pylon or strut and the engine is known as a podded engine. In some cases—for instance in the typical " Farman" type "pusher" aircraft, or the World War II-era P-38 Lightning or SAAB J21—an aircraft cockpit may also be housed in a nacelle, rather than in a conventional fuselage. Triumph Tiger 100
The Tiger 100 (T100) was a standard motorcycle first made by the British motorcycle company Triumph in 1939. Production ceased when the Triumph factory was destroyed by German bombing in 1940 during World War 2, but recommenced in 1946. Several variants were manufactured until 1973. The Triumph Thunderbird is a British motorcycle that was introduced by Triumph Engineering, Triumph back in 1949 and produced in many forms until 1966. The name was used three more times for new and distinct Triumph models. Original Triumph: 6T Thunderbird To capture the American market, the 6T Thunderbird used a variant of the earlier Triumph Speed Twin, Speed Twin's parallel twin engine, bored out from 500 cc to 650 cc to give the added horsepower American customers demanded. The Speed Twin 5T is a standard motorcycle that was made by Triumph Engineering, Triumph at their Coventry, and later Meriden factories. Edward Turner (24 January 1901 – 15 August 1973) was an English people, English motorcycle designer. He was born in Camberwell in the London Borough of Southwark, on the day King Edward VII was proclaimed King. In 1915, Turner had his first ride on a motorcycle, a Light Tourist New Imperial Motors Ltd, New Imperial. Turner Special On 16 April 1925 "The Motor Cycle" published drawings by Turner of an Overhead camshaft, OHC single he had designed, using a series of vertically stacked gears to drive the overhead camshaft. The Boeing E-3 Sentry is an American airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft developed by Boeing. E-3s are commonly known as AWACS (Airborne Warning and Control System).
