Engers–Au Railway
The Engers–Au railway is a single-track, non-electrified railway line and consists of three sections, which are treated separately here. It is the mainly in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate, although the section near Au (Sieg) station, Au is in North Rhine-Westphalia. Brexbach Valley Railway, Engers–Siershahn The ''Brexbach Valley Railway'' (german: Brexbachtalbahn) runs through the Westerwald along the Brexbach river. It connects the East Rhine Railway with the Limburg-Staffel–Siershahn railway, Lower Westerwald Railway and runs from Engers station, Engers via Bendorf, Höhr-Grenzhausen, Grenzau and Ransbach-Baumbach to Siershahn. On 31 May 1884, the line was opened after twelve years of planning and construction. The line was 21.6 km long. Rhineland-Palatinate

Limburg-Staffel–Siershahn Railway
The Limburg-Staffel–Siershahn railway is a railway line between Limburg-Staffel, Montabaur and Siershahn in the Westerwald. The line, which is also known as the ''Unterwesterwaldbahn'' (Lower Westerwald Railway), runs through the German states of Rhineland-Palatinate and Hesse. History The Rhenish Railway Company (''Rheinische Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft'', RhE) planned the line and also received the concession to build it. It was opened to Staffel on 30 May 1884, by which time the Prussian state railways had taken over operations of the RhE. The Prussian government took control of the RhE on 1 January 1886. Neitersen
Neitersen is a municipality in the district of Altenkirchen, in Rhineland-Palatinate, in western Germany. Geography Neitersen is 4 miles southwest of Altenkirchen on the river Wied. The village divides in the districts Neiterschen, Niederölfen, Kahlhardt, Fladersbach, Obernau and Neitersen. Neitersen is 700 feet above sealevel. History On 1 March 1262, Countess Mechthild, the widow of Count Henry III of Sayn, made an agreement with the Archbishop of Cologne, Conrad of Hochstaden. In this deed, several ''Dienstleute'' are listed, who were to attend to the countess's service for her lifetime. They included three people, namely Henriche, Gobelin and Gylise of Nithirshusen. The original is in the State Archives in Koblenz. This is the first known historical document in which Neitersen is mentioned. Selters is a town in the Westerwaldkreis in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Selters is the seat of the ''Verbandsgemeinde'' of Selters, a kind of collective municipality.
