Enge is a quarter in district 2 (Zürich), District 2 of Zürich, Switzerland. History Enge was incorporated into Zürich in 1893, along with 11 other formerly independent Municipality, municipalities. In 2011, the population was 8,597. Enge, which is only 2.4 km2, is the smallest neighbourhood in district 2. Lake Zurich
Lake Zurich (, ; ) is a lake in Switzerland, extending southeast of the city of Zurich. Depending on the context, Lake Zurich or can be used to describe the lake as a whole, or just that part of the lake downstream of the Hurden peninsula and Seedamm causeway (between Pfäffikon and Rapperswil). In the latter case, the upstream part of the lake is called '' Obersee'' (), while the lower part is sometimes also referred to as the Lower Lake (), respectively. Synagoge Zürich Löwenstrasse
The Synagoge Zürich Löwenstrasse is an Orthodox Jewish synagogue, located at Löwenstrasse 10, Zürich, in the Canton of Zürich, Switzerland. Built in 1884 in the Moorish Revival and Byzantine Revival styles, the building is the oldest and largest synagogue in Zürich. The building also houses the prayer and school house of Israelitische Cultusgemeinde Zürich (ICZ) which was founded in 1862. ICZ is a unified Jewish community having about 2,500 members, and thus the largest Jewish community in Switzerland, which since 2007 is recognized as a denomination. In the synagogue, the community celebrates the daily Minyan and Shabbat and holiday services. The building is a Cultural Property of National Significance. Quaianlagen (Zürich)
Quaianalagen (German, plural; ; from ) or Seeuferanlagen (German, plural for lakeshore sites) on Lake Zurich is a series of lakefronts in Zurich, Switzerland. Inaugurated in 1887, the quaysides are considered an important milestone in the development of Zurich. The construction of the lake fronts transformed the medieval small town on the rivers Limmat and Sihl to a modern city on the Lake Zurich shore. The project was managed by engineer Arnold Bürkli.
