''Engamma Maharani'' () is a 1981 Indian Tamil-language film directed by M. A. Kaja starring Delhi Ganesh, Sumithra, Roopa and Y. Vijaya. It was released on 13 March 1981. The film won the 1981 Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Lyricist for Pulamaipithan and remain as one of the rare films of Ganesh where he played the hero. Vietnam Veedu Sundaram was an Indian playwright, screenwriter and film director. Suruli Rajan
Suruli Rajan (January 14, 1938 - December 5, 1980) was as an Indian actor and comedian who worked primarily in Tamil cinema. Posthumously, he was awarded with the Best Comedian Award by the state Government of Tamil Nadu in 1981. Early and personal life Rajan was born in 1938 in Periyakulam, situated near Theni in Tamil Nadu, India. His father, Ponnaiya Pillai, worked as an accountant for local farm owners in the surrounding areas of Theni. Rajan was named after the Surulivelar Swamy, the family deity at a temple on top of a hill overlooking Suruli Falls. Rajan lost both of his parents when he was young, forcing him to discontinue his schooling. Uma Ramanan
Uma Ramanan (1954/1955 – 1 May 2024) was an Indian playback singer, predominantly in the Tamil language. She was also a live stage performer who appeared in more than 6,000 concerts spanning 35 years. Ramanan came from the Tamil Nadu state of India. Personal life and background Whilst studying, Ramanan went through classical music training under Pazhani Vijayalakshmi. She participated in many inter-collegiate competitions and won several rewards and accolades. Later, she met A. V.
