Engal Kural
''Engal Kural'' () is a 1985 Indian Tamil language, Tamil-language crime film, directed by Rama Narayanan and produced by S. S. Chandran. The film stars Arjun Sarja, Arjun, Suresh (actor, born 1963), Suresh, Nalini (actress), Nalini and Jeevitha. It was released on 15 August 1985. Plot When Raghupathi kills Maari, the latter's brother decides to take revenge on him. He kills Raghupathi's wife and kidnaps their son, and later raises the child to become a criminal. Cast Production Vijayakanth made a special appearance, and charged no remuneration for doing so. Soundtrack Soundtrack was composed by T. Rajendar, who also wrote the lyrics. Rama Narayanan
Rama Narayanan (3 April 1949 – 22 June 2014) was an Indian film director and film producer. In the 1980s, he was known as a director who specialized in shooting commercial films in which animals played vital roles, while in the 1990s, several of his films were based on Hindu devotional subjects. Career Narayanan came to Chennai intending to become a songwriter, but he became a dialogue writer for films. He and his friend M. A. Khaja started to write dialogues together under the pen name Ram-Rahim. In 1976, Narayanan wrote his first story, screenplay and dialogue for the film ''Aasai Arubadhu Naal''. He produced his first film ''Meenakshi Kungumam'' in 1977 and directed his first film ''Sumai'' in 1981. He also wrote the script for Chiranjeevi's film ''Punnami Naagu (1980 film), Punnami Naagu''. Gandhimathi (30 August 1940 – 9 September 2011) was an Indian stage and film actress. She acted in over 500 films. Early life Kanthimathi was born in Manamadurai in what was then the Ramanathapuram district of India. She started acting in dramas and entered films at the age of eleven. Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), popularly known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a prolific Tamil playback singer and actor. Born in the town of Kuala Selangor in the Federated Malay States (present day Malaysia), he moved to Chennai, Tamil Nadu to work in the Tamil film industry, where he rose to prominence. Ambika (actress)
Ambika is an Indian actress known for her work predominantly across the entire southern film industry and in several tele serials. She has also acted in an English film (Indian-American), to date.
