''Endgame'' is the sixth studio album by American punk rock band Rise Against. It was released on March 15, 2011, by DGC Records and Interscope Records. A melodic hardcore album, ''Endgame'' continues the trend by Rise Against towards more crisp, polished production, which began with the band's previous album ''Appeal to Reason (album), Appeal to Reason''. Social and political commentary constitute the majority of the lyrical content on ''Endgame'', and a major theme revolves around the end of humanity. After a lengthy tour in support of ''Appeal to Reason'', Rise Against began recording ''Endgame'' in September 2010, with producers Bill Stevenson (musician), Bill Stevenson and Jason Livermore. Rise Against is an American punk rock band from Chicago, formed in 1999. The group's current line-up comprises vocalist/rhythm guitarist Tim McIlrath, lead guitarist Zach Blair, bassist Joe Principe and drummer Brandon Barnes. NOFX
NOFX () was an American punk rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1983. Bassist/lead vocalist Fat Mike, rhythm guitarist Eric Melvin and drummer Erik Sandin were original founding and longest-serving members of the band, who have appeared on every release by the band, although Sandin departed briefly in 1985, only to rejoin the following year. El Hefe joined the band in 1991 to play lead guitar and trumpet, rounding out the best-known iteration of the lineup. NOFX's mainstream success coincided with increased interest in punk rock during the 1990s; unlike many of their contemporaries, however, they had never been signed to a major label. Propagandhi is a Canadian punk rock and metal band formed in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba in 1986 by guitarist Chris Hannah and drummer Jord Samolesky. The band is currently located in Winnipeg, Manitoba and completed by bassist Todd Kowalski and guitarist Sulynn Hago. History Formation, first two records (1986–1997) In 1986, Samolesky and Hannah recruited original bassist Scott Hopper via a "progressive thrash band looking for bass player" flyer posted in a local record shop. Timothy James McIlrath (born November 3, 1978) is an American rock musician. He is the lead singer, rhythm guitarist, songwriter and co-founder of the punk rock band Rise Against. He is vegetarian and straight edge. Early and personal life McIlrath was born in 1978 to Jim and Michelle McIlrath. He attended Rolling Meadows High School in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. In college ( Northeastern Illinois University), McIlrath majored in English and Sociology. In his junior year, he met Joe Principe at a Sick of It All concert. Principe asked McIlrath to sing over a few tracks that he and Dan Wleklinski had recorded. It was at this time that Transistor Revolt was formed. McIlrath left college after Transistor Revolt was signed onto Fat Wreck Chords in 1999. In the fall of 2020, McIlrath returned to college to finish his Sociology degree. Joseph Daniel Principe (; born November 14, 1974) is an American musician. He is the bassist, backing vocalist, and co-founder of the punk rock band Rise Against. He is also straight edge, a vegan, an animal rights advocate, and actively promotes PETA with his band. Early life Principe began his musical career at age 15, learning to play by ear and influenced during his formative years by Bad Religion, Minor Threat, Bad Brains, the Descendents, Bill Swerski and other like minded bands. The Blasting Room
The Blasting Room is a recording studio in Fort Collins, Colorado. Founded by members of the punk rock band All in 1994, it is owned and operated by musician Bill Stevenson ( Descendents, Black Flag, All, Only Crime) and Jason Livermore. The studio is known for recording and producing many punk rock bands, with Stevenson and Livermore serving as in-house audio engineers and record producers. Appeal To Reason Tour
The Appeal to Reason Tour was a concert tour by American punk band Rise Against, taking place between 2008 and 2010, in support of their fifth studio album '' Appeal to Reason'' (2008). The tour began with a series of summer pre-release shows, including European festival appearances and a few North American Vans Warped Tour dates. Those shows were performed as the band finished the recording of the album. The main supporting tour began in early October with the release of the album.
