Legend Of La Encantada
The Spanish legend of la Encantada is a generic name that refers to a set of oral traditions and legends mythological narrated in numerous Spanish localities . Although there are multiple local variants, a series of elements are common: the protagonist (a young woman with long hair), the time (St. John's Eve), the manifestation (combing her hair) and other elements (mirror, wedding, comb—generally gold). La Encantada is closely related (supposedly) to mythological beings such as the Lamias, Mouras (Galician mythology), Mari and Mairu ( Basque mythology), the Anjanas ( Cantabrian mythology) and the Xanas (Asturian mythology), In fact one and the other, in essence, are different versions of the same narrative but adapted to particular cultural environments. Likewise, its relationship with the mexican figure Xtabay suggests a very ancient and almost universal presence of the myth or a possible transatlantic diffusion, either through the processes of conquest of America, in ...

Ciudad Encantada
The Ciudad Encantada (English: Enchanted City) is a geological site near the city of Cuenca, in the autonomous community of Castilla–La Mancha, Spain in which the erosive forces of weather and the waters of the nearby Júcar river have formed rocks into distinctive and memorable shapes. It was declared a Natural Site of National Interest on 11 June 1929. Origin of the formations The rock formations of Ciudad Encantada are karst formations made of limestone and dolomite, which date back to the Cretaceous period, approximately 90 million years ago. Rain falling on the original limestone plateau wore down the porous limestone, leaving behind the more resistant dolomite. Because the dolomite was not always distributed evenly in the original rock, the result was the irregularly eroded shapes that form the Ciudad Encantada. Shapes of rocks The rock formations that have been named include: In film and television Ciudad Encantada appears as a location in the following films: ...

H. Robsjohn-Gibbings. It has twice established a record for the most expensive house sold in the United States. Ciudad Encantada De Bolnuevo
Las Gredas de Bolnuevo, also called ''Ciudad Encantada'' (enchanted city), are heavily eroded sandstone formations along the beach of Bolnuevo, Murcia, Spain. The sandstone shapes are sculpted by water and wind over thousands of years and are considered as a monument of natural interest. The Ciudad Encantada is formed by clay (gredas). The yellowish color is caused by the large amount of sand contained in the clay. Furthermore, the clay consists of microfossils that date from the Pliocene period, about 4.5 million years ago. The sandstone has undergone an erosion process by the elements which resulted in mushroom and almost vertical shapes that seem to defy the laws of the gravity In physics, gravity () is a fundamental interaction which causes mutual attraction between all things with mass or energy.
