EnVision EvAngelene
''EnVision EvAngelene'' is the sixth studio album by the Australian Christian extreme metal band Mortification, released on 23 April 1996. Musically, this particular album is known for having more of a traditional heavy metal and thrash metal sound than previous Mortification offerings, which focused mainly on death metal. Two reissues of ''EnVision EvAngelene'' have been released; in 2008 on Metal Mind Productions with four bonus tracks and in 2021 on Soundmass with five bonus tracks and a second disc containing the ''Live Without Fear'' album. Songs The most notable song on the album is the epic opening title track which clocks in at over 18 minutes. The lyrics in the song tell of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ from the perspective of the Angels. Mortification (band)
Mortification is an Australian Christian metal band which was formed in 1987 as a heavy metal group, Lightforce, by mainstay Steve Rowe on bass guitar and vocals. By 1990, in the Melbourne suburb of Moorabbin, they were renamed as Mortification with the line-up of Rowe, Michael Carlisle on guitar, and Jayson Sherlock on drums. Mortification has released fourteen studio albums, three compilation albums, three extended plays, six live discs, one demo album, one box set, and several videos on major record labels such as Nuclear Blast. As one of the earliest internationally successful Christian death metal bands from Australia, they served as an inspiration for later similar groups. Ultimatum (American Band)
Ultimatum is an American thrash metal band from Albuquerque, New Mexico. History Ultimatum was formed in 1992 in Albuquerque, New Mexico by Robert Gutierrez, John Carroll and Greg Dingess. The band's name is taken from concept of the ultimatum given by Joshua in which states, "But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve." Robert's former Angelic Force guitar player Steve Trujillo joined soon after. Vocalist Scott Waters joined the band in January 1993 and their first public performance together was at the Sonshine Festival in Albuquerque, NM in 1993. Steve Rowe
Steve Rowe (born 19 January 1965) is the founder, bass guitarist, and vocalist of the Australian Christian death metal band Mortification which was considered to be a major pioneer in the genre. Prior to forming Mortification he was in a traditional heavy metal styled Christian band known as LightForce. He was diagnosed with leukemia in 1997, but made a full recovery. He is currently the owner and head of the Rowe Productions record label. In 2015, Rowe announced his retirement from Christian music. However, his career has continued, while Mortification has been inactive the members' side project, Wonrowe Vision, have remained active. Metal Mind Productions (MMP) is a Polish record label founded in 1987. The label focuses on rock and heavy metal. MMP is also publisher of ''Metal Hammer'', the largest and the oldest heavy metal magazine. As a concert agency, it organises Metalmania, the largest heavy metal event in Central–Eastern Europe, and it organised over 1000 concerts, including Monsters of Rock in Poland, 1991.
