Emurge
''Emurge'' is the widely bootlegged and unreleased demo album by American hip hop recording artist Hopsin. It is widely believed the project was recorded sometime in 2003 and was not a retail mixtape like other common mixtapes and the project was created for a local audience to create a buzz for the artist who at the time had decided to take rapping seriously. Prior to rapping, Hopsin had appeared as an extra in TV shows such as ''Malcolm in the Middle'' and ''That's So Raven'' among others. No official physical copies of Emurge have been found or sold online, despite that all songs off ''Emurge'' were released officially on YouTube. Throughout the years there have been many fake and misleading mixtapes also titled Emurge with other unreleased material on them. Marcus Jamal Hopson (born July 18, 1985), known professionally as Hopsin, is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer from Los Angeles. In 2007, he was signed to Ruthless Records, and had founded his own record label, Funk Volume, in 2009. He would then go on to found another record label, Undercover Prodigy, in 2016. Hopsin has released five studio albums, '' Gazing at the Moonlight'' through Ruthless Records, '' Raw'', '' Knock Madness'' and '' Pound Syndrome'' along with the collaborative project Haywire with SwizZz through Funk Volume and '' No Shame''. He is well known for his use of white colored eye contacts in music videos, performances, and interviews. ''Haywire'' is a collaborative mixtape by American rappers Hopsin and SwizZz. The project was the debut release by independent hip hop record label Funk Volume. It was released on July 18, 2009 on DatPiff DatPiff is an online audio distribution platform that was launched in 2005. It is headquartered in Pennsylvania. It specializes in hip-hop, rap, and urban music. The site was founded in the spring of 2005 by Marcus Frasier. It is owned by Med .... Justin Ritter (born September 28, 1987), known professionally as SwizZz, is an American rapper and songwriter. He is best known for significantly collaborating with childhood friend Hopsin, and being signed to their record label Funk Volume, which was founded by Hopsin himself. He has released various singles and released two mixtapes including '' Haywire'' with Hopsin, and ''Good Morning SwizZzle''. Early life SwizZz initially met Hopsin in high school, where they were classmates and became close friends. After high school SwizZz got accepted into the University of California at Irvine, but after two years he decided to put his education on hold, while he would pursue a career in music.
