Emmanuel Wayo
Emmanuel Wayo (born December 7) professionally known as Wayo is a hip-hop and afro-tech artist. Wayo is a recording artist born in Nima, Accra. He rose to fame in 2004 when he went by the stage name D-Lane in the Wonda World rap group. In March 2018, his single Muscatella was declared number one in Ghana by Ghud Music. He was also on Ghanaian based radio station Live Fm's top 10 songs three times. In November of that year also, Muscatella again was featured as 'Song of the week' by American broadcasting network, VoA on their 'Music time in Africa' show Life and career Wayo, the second of three children was born in Nima, Accra to the late Tookid Kwadjo Wayo and Judith Emden, and was later raised by controversial Ghanaian politician Kofi Wayo after his father's death Wayo got exposed to music at the age of 7 watching 'Yo MTV' back in Achimota primary school. Nima (town)
Nima is a Zongo residential town in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. The town is popular because of its market – the Nima market. The name Nima has its etymology from the Ga Language which literally means the "city of the King". ''Nii'' means ''King'' in the Ga language, while the word city in the same language is ''mann''. There have been a few contrasting views about the name, however, with some pointing to the town's Muslim community to say Nima was a reference to the Arabic word, "Ni'ma", which means blessings. Nima is considered the largest and one of the oldest Zongo communities in Ghana with origins as far back as 1836. The settlement is often referred to as one-half of the twin community, Mamobi-Nima, though it is mostly used to refer to the two adjoining towns. Nima is a Muslim-dominated area. Paul "Jayso" Nuamah Donkor (born June 1, 1983) is a Ghanaian rapper, record producer, singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur. He gained significant attention after working on Sarkodie's single "Borga" and producing a majority of the songs on Sarkodie's debut album, "Maakye." Darryl Paa Kwesi Bannerman-Martin (born 20 August 1989), known under the stage name Joey B, is a Ghanaian hip hop recording artist. He is well known for his single "Tonga". Early life and career Joey B was born in Cape Coast, Ghana. He realized his talent for music at age six (6) when he formed a group and aided in ghostwriting most of the songs they made together. This bolstered his unrelenting strong desire for music and pursued it. He had his primary education at St. Theresa's School and later went to Accra High School. Labone Senior High School
Labone Senior High School (popularly known as L-A Bone) is a public senior high school located in Labone in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. It is noted for its success in the National Science and Maths Quiz, athletics, music and cultural activities. History In 1949, six leaders of Ghana saw the need to establish an educational institution for young people staying around Osu and La. A private school was established in the Ako Adjei Area. At independence, the first president of Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah, realized that to accelerate the country's development, educational facilities must be widespread.
