Emmanuel Magnien
Emmanuel Magnien (born 7 May 1971) is a French former cyclist, who was professional from 1993 to 2003. Before he turned professional, he took part in the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona. Some of his notable victories are the Tour de l'Avenir (1995), Tour Méditerranéen (1997), Grand Prix d'Ouverture La Marseillaise (2000), and Paris–Brussels (2001). The Étoile de Bessèges () is an early-season five-day road bicycle racing stage race held annually around Bessèges, in the Gard department of the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France. First organized in 1971 as a one-day race, it became a stage race run over five days in 1974. The 1996 Amstel Gold Race was the 31st edition of the annual road bicycle race "Amstel Gold Race", held on Sunday April 27, 1996, in the Dutch province of Limburg. The race stretched 253 kilometres, with the start in Heerlen and the finish in Maastricht. The Coppa Placci is a semi classic European bicycle race held between Imola, Italy and San Marino. Since 2005, the race has been organised as a 1.HC event on the UCI Europe Tour. The race is named after Antonio Placci, a cyclist born in Imola who died in 1921, two years before the race was created. Because of sponsorship problems, in 2010 the race has been excluded from the UCI Europe Tour and was reserved to the Elite/Under 23 Category.
