Emmanuel Cattin
Biography A graduate of the École normale supérieure, École Normale Supérieure (class of 1990), in 1996 he defended his PhD thesis on Friedrich Wilhelm Joseph Schelling, Schelling at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne University I, under the direction of Bernard Bourgeois, a scholar of German idealism, German Idealism and member of Académie des Sciences Morales et Politiques. Initially appointed as a lecturer at Blaise Pascal University, he went on to become a tenured professor there in 2004. In 2015, he joined Paris-Sorbonne University (known as Sorbonne University since 2018) as chair of the metaphysics department, a post previously held by Jean-Luc Marion. He is director of the research unit, "Métaphysique, histoires, transformations, actualités". Arrien
Arrien (; ) is a commune in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of south-western France. Geography Arrien is located some 18 km east by north-east of Pau and 5 km west of Séron. Access to the commune is by road D42 from Sedzère in the north passing through the heart of the commune east of the village and continuing south to Eslourenties-Daban. The D145 also comes from Baleix in the north and joins the D42 in the commune then continues south-west to Lourenties. Access to the village (Town Hall) is by the Chemin de l'Eglise going west from the D42 and by other local roads. Apart from some patches of forest on the western border the commune is entirely farmland. Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche (15 October 1844 – 25 August 1900) was a German philosopher. He began his career as a classical philologist, turning to philosophy early in his academic career.
