Emma Stauber
Emma Stauber is an American ice hockey defender, currently playing for the Minnesota Whitecaps in the PHF. She formerly served as captain of the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs. Career Stauber began playing hockey at the age of four, originally wanting to be a goaltender like her uncle, but was discouraged from the position by her father, who advised her she'd have a better chance of making a team as a defender. During high school, she played for the Proctor-Hermantown-Marshall Mirage, leading her team in scoring in her final year. She was named to the 2011 Minnesota Associated Press Girls Second All-State Team. From 2011 to 2015, she attended the University of Minnesota Duluth, playing for the Bulldogs' women's ice hockey programme, who she had grown up cheering for. Switching from an offensive defender style of play to a more stay-at-home style, she accumulated a total of 23 points across 142 NCAA games. Minnesota Whitecaps
The Minnesota Whitecaps are a professional ice hockey team in the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF; formerly known as the National Women's Hockey League). They play in Richfield, Minnesota, part of the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metropolitan area, at the Richfield Ice Arena. Established in 2004, the Whitecaps were part of the Western Women's Hockey League (WWHL) during 2004 to 2011. The team was independent, following the dissolution of the Western Women's Hockey League after the 2010–11 season. While independent, the Whitecaps' schedule consisted mostly of games against women's college ice hockey squads. The team also played some exhibition games against teams in the new National Women's Hockey League during the league's inaugural 2015–16 season but was not an official member of that league. Proctor High School is a 912 secondary school in Proctor, Minnesota, United States that was established in 1912. Situated in the Duluth–Superior area, Proctor High School and the connected A.I. Robb Stauber
Robert Thomas Stauber (born November 25, 1967) is an American ice hockey coach and former player. He was the head coach of the United States women's national ice hockey team. He played the goaltender position at the University of Minnesota and professionally with the Los Angeles Kings and Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League. Stauber played three seasons for the Minnesota Golden Gophers men's ice hockey team from 1986 to 1989. He was the first goaltender to win the Hobey Baker Award after his sophomore season in 1988. Between 1989 and 1995, Stauber played 62 NHL regular season games. He was drafted in the sixth round, 107th overall, by the Los Angeles Kings in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft. Isobel Cup
The Lady Isobel Gathorne-Hardy Cup, often shortened to Isobel Cup, is the championship trophy awarded annually to the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF) playoff winner. It is named after Lady Isobel Gathorne-Hardy, one of the first known women to play the game and daughter of Lord Stanley (the namesake of the Stanley Cup, and former Governor-General of Canada). The front of the trophy is engraved with "The Lady Isobel Gathorne-Hardy Cup 1875–1963. This Cup, shall be awarded annually to the greatest professional women's hockey team in North America.
