David Edmund Turin (born 8 September 1965), known as Emit Bloch, is an American songwriter and musician. Background Emit Bloch is a songwriter, musician and journalist referenced for field recordings and lo-fi music production. His parents are George L. Turin, a professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at UC Berkeley, and Helen Elizabeth Turin, the daughter of a Utah cattle rancher. Bloch was raised in Berkeley, California, as well as Layton, Utah, and is related to Christopher Layton, a prominent 19th Century Mormon pioneer. ''The Peopletree Sessions'' is an album by American actress and model Milla Jovovich, released in September 1998 by Peopletree Recordings. The material on the album was largely recorded at the Los Angeles home studio of producer and Peopletree label head David Turin. Jovovich and her musical collaborator Chris Brenner have disowned the album as an unauthorized release. Background Milla Jovovich and her frequent collaborator Chris Brenner were invited by producer David Turin (also known as Emit Bloch, and credited on ''The Peopletree Sessions'' as H. Loops) to work on music with him after being introduced to Turin by his wife Kate Garner, who had previously worked with Jovovich on some photography shoots. Nicholas John McCabe (born 14 July 1971) is an English musician, best known as being the lead guitarist of the rock group the Verve. Early life McCabe is the son of a bus driver father and a social worker mother and has two older brothers, Alan and Paul. He grew up in St Helens, Merseyside. His earliest musical influences were Northern Soul, metal, Pink Floyd and punk records borrowed from his brothers. McCabe bought a Roland synthesizer and began purchasing his own music with money he made working at a farm. When asked what it was that inspired him to become a guitarist, he answered: "That was me, I just got a guitar, and I could play a few things on it, and I liked messing with it, and I liked making my own things up." The Dust Brothers are a pair of songwriters and producers consisting of E.Z. Mike ( Michael Simpson) and King Gizmo ( John King). Higher Octave Music is a sub-label imprint of Narada Productions. Since 2013, it is part of Universal Music Group's Capitol Music Group, which is located in Los Angeles. Nels Courtney Cline (born January 4, 1956) is an American guitarist and composer. He has been a guitarist for the band Wilco since 2004. In the 1980s he played jazz, often in collaboration with his twin brother Alex, a percussionist. He has worked with musicians in punk and alternative rock such as Carla Bozulich and the Geraldine Fibbers, Mike Watt and Thurston Moore.
