Eminem
Marshall Bruce Mathers III (born October 17, 1972), known professionally as Eminem (; often stylized as EMINƎM), is an American rapper and record producer. He is credited with popularizing hip hop in middle America and is critically acclaimed as one of the greatest rappers of all time. Eminem's global success and acclaimed works are widely regarded as having broken racial barriers for the acceptance of white rappers in popular music. While much of his transgressive work during the late 1990s and early 2000s made him widely controversial, he came to be a representation of popular angst of the American underclass and has been cited as an influence for many artists of various genres. After the release of his debut album '' Infinite'' (1996) and the extended play '' Slim Shady EP'' (1997), Eminem signed with Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment and subsequently achieved mainstream popularity in 1999 with '' The Slim Shady LP''. His next two releases, '' The Marshall Mathers LP'' ...

The Slim Shady LP
''The Slim Shady LP'' is the second studio album and major label debut by American rapper Eminem. It was released on February 23, 1999, by Aftermath Entertainment and Interscope Records. Recorded in Ferndale, Michigan following Eminem's recruitment by Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine, the album features production from Dr. Dre, the Bass Brothers, and Eminem himself. Featuring West Coast hip hop, G-funk and horrorcore musical styles, the majority of ''The Slim Shady LP''s lyrical content is written from the perspective of Eminem's alter ego, named Slim Shady, whom he created on the '' Slim Shady EP'' (1997). ''The Slim Shady LP'' contains cartoonish depictions of violence and heavy use of profanity, which Eminem described as horror film-esque, in that it is solely for entertainment value. Although many of the lyrics on the album are considered to be satirical, Eminem also depicts his frustrations of living in poverty. ''The Slim Shady LP'' debuted at number two on the ''Billboard'' ...

Ass Like That
"Ass Like That", also referred to as "A** Like That", is a song by American rapper Eminem from his fifth studio album ''Encore (Eminem album), Encore'' (2004). It was released as the sixth and final single from the album on June 7, 2005. Critical reception Stephen Elerwine of AllMusic wrote: "Eminem is plain-spoken and literal, intent on refuting every critic from Benzino at ''The Source'' to Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, who gets an entire song ("Ass Like That") devoted to him." ''HipHopDX'' editor J-23 was divided: "'Ass Like That' is gonna be a song you either love or hate. Whatever the case, it sure is surreal to hear him rap an entire song as that Triumph puppet from MTV." Scott Plagenhoef of ''Pitchfork Media, Pitchfork'' was positive: "Em also shines when he spins well off his axis, as he does on ... the R. Kelly/Triumph the Insult Comic Dog-baiting 'Ass Like That'," but he noted that the song sounds like mixtape material. NME, ''NME'' magazine was unimpressed, calling the ...

Anger Management Tour
The Anger Management Tour was a rap and rock music tour, founded and started in the fall of 2000 by Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach and, after the release of ''The Marshall Mathers LP'', Eminem. The first "Anger Management" outing took place in 2000. In the process of starting the large tour, Eminem wanted to include Nine Inch Nails into the list of artists, but Marilyn Manson joining the tour raised issues between him and Trent Reznor and so decided not ask Reznor to join the tour. Eminem named the tour, saying "It's the perfect name for a tour like this, because most of the music featured in the tour is about anger, frustration, and the bullshit of our lives and the fans loving every minute of it. It's the blend of hardcore rap, industrial metal, and alternative metal that gives it the anger management feel, literally." The second tour took place in the summer of 2002. Eminem said "It's basically the same thing that it was the last Anger Management Tour without Limp Bizkit... Papa Ro ...
