Emily Tubert
Emily Tubert (born May 15, 1992) is an American golfer from Burbank, California. She has played on the Symetra Tour and LPGA Tour, in addition to being a World Long Drive competitor. Tubert competes in events that are sanctioned by the World Long Drive Association, which is owned by Golf Channel. Collegiate and amateur career Prior to her professional career, Tubert was a three-time All-American while competing for the women's golf team at the University of Arkansas. Tubert competed in the 2013 U.S. Women's Open as an amateur while at Arkansas, and was a member of the United States Curtis Cup team in 2012. Prior to that, she won the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links in 2010. She won the Dinah Shore Trophy Award as the top collegiate female golfer in 2014. On the LPGA Tour Tubert's rookie year on the LPGA was in 2017 after earning status at the 2016 LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament, winning her stage by five strokes. Symetra Tour
The Epson Tour, previously known as the LPGA Futures Tour, and known for sponsorship reasons between 2006 and 2010 as the Duramed Futures Tour and between 2012 and 2021 as the Symetra Tour, is the official developmental golf tour of the LPGA Tour. Tour membership is open to professional women golfers and to qualified amateurs. History The Futures Tour was founded in Florida in 1981 as the "Tampa Bay Mini Tour". It officially became the ''Futures Golf Tour'' in 1983 and in 1999 become a national tour designated as the "official developmental tour" of the LPGA Tour (the U.S.-based professional women's golf tour). 2012 Curtis Cup
The 37th Curtis Cup Match was played from 8 to 10 June 2012 at Nairn Golf Club in Nairn, Scotland. Great Britain and Ireland won 10 to 9. Format The contest was a three-day competition, with three foursomes and three fourball matches on each of the first two days, and eight singles matches on the final day, a total of 20 points. Each of the 20 matches is worth one point in the larger team competition. If a match is all square after the 18th hole extra holes are not played. Rather, each side earns a point toward their team total. The team that accumulates at least 10 points wins the competition. In the event of a tie, the current holder retains the Cup. The Spirit International Amateur Golf Championship
The Spirit International Amateur Golf Championship is a biennial amateur golf tournament which takes place in alternating years with the World Amateur Team Championships. The competition consists 20 countries represented by teams of four (two men and two women) and takes place at the Whispering Pines Golf Club, located 80 miles outside of Houston in Trinity, Texas. Added in 2013, the winner of the individual men's competition receives a sponsor exemption to the PGA Tour’s Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. The Volunteers of America Classic is a women's professional golf tournament in Texas on the LPGA Tour. It debuted in April 2013 at Las Colinas Country Club in Irving, northwest of downtown Dallas.
