Emilija Škarnulytė (born 1987 in Vilnius, Lithuania) is a visual artist and filmmaker. Existing between the fictive and the documentary, "she works primarily with deep time, from the cosmic and geologic to the ecological and political". Biography Škarnulytė holds a BA in sculpture from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, Italy, and an MA from Tromsø Academy of Contemporary Art. Emilija Kokić
Emilija Kokić (born 10 May 1968) is a Croatian singer. She was the lead singer of the Croatian pop band Riva, which won the Eurovision Song Contest 1989 for Yugoslavia, with the song '' Rock Me'', just four days before her 21st Birthday. Currently Emilija is a solo artist and singing teacher in Croatia. She tried her luck at the national Dora festival, whose winner was to represent Croatia at Eurovision. She came 2nd at '' Dora 2001'' and joint 6th at '' Dora 2008''. At Dora 2011 she was part of the jury and also performed ''Rock Me''. Emilija Manninen (born 22 January 1981) is an Estonian female hurdler. She has represented Estonia at the Deaflympics in 1997, 2001, 2005, 2009 and 2013. Emilija won her first Deaflympic medal, which was a bronze medal at the 2001 Summer Deaflympics in the women's 400m hurdles. She also claimed a silver medal in the 400m hurdles during the 2009 Summer Deaflympics, which was her second medal in the women's 400m hurdles. Emilija Manninen set a new Deaflympic record for the women's 400m hurdles with a record time of 1:01.62 during the 2013 Summer Deaflympics after earning a gold medal in the particular event. Emilija Stojmenova Duh (born 25 December 1985) is a Macedonian-Slovenian electrical engineer and politician. She was minister for digital transformation of the Republic of Slovenia from 1 June 2022 until 26 september 2024 . Emilija Redžepi (; born 15 July 1973) is a Kosovan Bosniak politician who is a member of the New Democratic Party, and serves as the Third Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo. Career Emilija Redžepi is a Bosniak from Kosovo. She has been critical of the lack of support for Bosniak affairs within Kosovo, speaking at a conference on the Day of Bosniak Community she supported teaching in Bosnian and upholding traditions. Emīlija Benjamiņa (sometimes transcribed Emilija Benjamina) (10 September 1881 – 27 September 1941) was a Latvian businesswoman. Acknowledged as the "Press Queen" in her home country, she became one of the wealthiest women in Europe at the time, and the richest person in interwar Latvia. Early life Emīlija Simsone was the middle daughter of Andris Simsons, a railway employee, and Ede Usinš, who worked on the expedition line of a German newspaper, leading Emīlija to grow up in a press printing environment. Emilija Vileišienė ''née'' Jasmantaitė (1861–1935) was a Lithuanian activist. Born to a noble family, she attended the Smolny Institute and lived with her older brother in Saint Petersburg and Caucasus. When her brother became severely ill, they moved to Vilnius (Wilno, Vilna) where Vileišienė met her husband Antanas Vileišis and became active in Lithuanian cultural life. She was an active member of various Lithuanian organizations, including the Lithuanian Mutual Relief Society of Vilnius, Society of Saint Zita for servants, cultural Rūta Society. Countess Emilia Broel-Plater (; 13 November 1806 – 23 December 1831) was a Polish–Lithuanian noblewoman and revolutionary from the lands of the partitioned Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. Raised in a patriotic tradition in Līksna near Daugavpils, she fought in the November Uprising of 1830–1831 against the Russian Empire. She raised a small unit, participated in several engagements in present-day Lithuania, and received the rank of captain in the Polish insurgent forces. When the main forces under the General Dezydery Chłapowski decided to cease fighting and cross into Prussia, Plater vowed to continue the fight and wanted to cross into Poland where the uprising was still ongoing. Emilija Jakšić-Nikezić (29 April 1924 – 29 November 1949) was a Serbian communist. She participated in the National Liberation Struggle and was a socially-political worker of People's Republic of Serbia. Early life Emilija Jakšić was born in Belgrade, on April 29, 1924. She was a member of the youth revolutionary movement as a high school student. She joined the Union of Communist Youth of Yugoslavia (Communist Youth – SKOJ) in 1940.
