Emil Jakob Schindler
Emil Jakob Schindler (27 April 1842 – 9 August 1892) was an Austrian landscape painter. His eldest daughter was the author and composer, Alma Mahler. Life He was born to a family of cotton spinning-mill operators that had been established in Fischamend, a village south of Vienna, since the 17th century. His father, Julius Jakob Schindler (1814–1846), died of lung cancer when Emil was only four years old. His mother, Maria Anna (née Penz, 1816-1886) soon afterwards took him to Pressburg (Bratislava). Three years later, on 10 February 1849, she married Second Lieutenant (later Captain), Mathias Eduard Nepalleck (1815–1873), who served in the local 2nd Hungarian Infantry Regiment. This may have been a forced marriage because, one month after the wedding, she gave birth to a daughter, Alexandrine Nepalleck (3 March 1849 – 4 September 1932). Adele Passy-Cornet (22 January 1838 – 2 November 1915) was a German opera singer ( soprano). Life Born in Braunschweig, Passy-Cornet was a daughter of the opera singer couple Julius and . After she received her first artistic lessons by her mother, Passy-Cornet went to Hamburg and took singing lessons there. Afterwards she sang in Austria and appeared among other things at concerts at the Viennese court. Luise Begas-Parmentier (1843–1920) was an Austrian-German landscape and architecture painter and Salonière. Life and work Begas-Parmentier née Parmentier was born on 15 April 1843 in Vienna, Austria. Olga Wisinger-Florian
Olga Wisinger-Florian (1 November 1844 27 February 1926) was an Austrian impressionist painter, mainly of landscapes and flower still life. She was a representative of the Austrian "" (Mood Impressionism), a loose group of Austrian impressionist painters that was considered avant-garde in the 1870s and 1880s. Life Wisinger-Florian was born and lived all her life in Vienna. She began private art lessons at age 19. Frustrated with her progress and the quality of the instruction, she followed her parents' wishes and trained as a concert pianist with Julius Epstein. From 1868 to 1873 she had some success as a pianist, until a hand injury forced her retirement from the piano. Marie Egner
Marie Egner (25 August 1850, Bad Radkersburg - 31 March 1940, Vienna) was an Austrian painter. Life Egner was born on 25 August 1850 in Bad Radkersburg, Austria. She took her first drawing lessons in Graz with Hermann von Königsbrunn, then went to Düsseldorf from 1872 to 1875, where she studied with Carl Jungheim. In 1882, she went to Vienna to live with her mother, but spent her summers at the art colony in Plankenberg Castle, near Neulengbach, where she took lessons with Emil Jakob Schindler until 1887. A study trip to England followed from 1887 to 1889. Shortly after, her first exhibition was held at the Vienna Künstlerhaus. She also exhibited in Germany and England. Julius Victor Berger
Julius Victor Berger (20 July 1850, Neutitschein, Mähren — 17 November 1902, Vienna) was an Austrian painter who is known primarily for his genre paintings and portraits. Life Julius Berger's was the son of , who was also a painter. He entered the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna at the young age of 14.
