Gudrun ( ; ) or Kriemhild ( ; ) is the wife of Sigurd/Siegfried and a major figure in Germanic heroic legend and literature. She is believed to have her origins in Ildico, last wife of Attila the Hun, and two queens of the Merovingian dynasty, Brunhilda of Austrasia and Fredegund. In both the Continental (German) and Scandinavian traditions, Gudrun/Kriemhild is the sister of the Burgundian king Gunther/Gunnar and marries the hero Siegfried/Sigurd. Both traditions also feature a major rivalry between Gudrun and Brunhild, Gunther's wife, over their respective ranks. In both traditions, once Sigurd has been murdered, Gudrun is married to Etzel/Atli, the legendary analogue of Attila the Hun. In the Norse tradition, Atli desires the hoard of the Nibelungen, which the Burgundians had taken after murdering Sigurd, and invites them to his court; intending to kill them. Albert Peter Severin Collett (15 September 1842 – 25 June 1896) was a Norwegian businessman, timber merchant and sawmill owner. He founded Firma Albert Collett and became one of the largest landowners in the valley of Namdalen in Nord-Trøndelag, Norway. Collett was born at Buskerud Manor at Åmot, Buskerud, Åmot in Modum Municipality, Norway. He was the youngest son of landowner John Collett (1807–1891), grandson of judge Peter Collett (judge), Peter Collett and grandnephew of Christian Ancher Collett. He was also the father of chemist and industrialist Emil Collett and physician Arthur Collett. He was originally a clerk in Christiania Bank og Kreditkasse. Collett Family
Collett or Collet is a Norwegian family of English origin, descended from English-born merchant James Collett (born 1655 in London, died 1727 in Christiania), who settled in Christiania in 1683. He married Karen Leuch, and died as the richest man in the city. The firm he founded, ''Collett & Leuch'', later renamed ''Collett & Søn'' (Collett & Son), was continued for four generations until 1821. The family became part of the patriciate of Christiania in the 18th century. His descendants continued to play important roles in Norwegian history and owned several properties, such as Buskerud Manor, Store Ullevål Manor, the hunting lodge 'Flateby', Økern Manor and Firma Albert Collett.
