Emil Axelsson (co-driver)
Emil Axelsson (born 26 August 1983) is a Swedish rally co-driver. Rally career Emil Axelsson began his rally career in 2000, when he partnered with Simon Johansson in a Mazda 323. Axelsson made his WRC at 2005 Rally Sweden, where he was the co-driver of the local star Patrik Sandell. In 2006, the Swedish crew won the J-WRC title in a Renault Clio S1600. 2014 Rallye Deutschland
The 2014 ADAC Rallye Deutschland was the ninth round of the 2014 World Rally Championship season. The event was based in Trier, Germany, and started on 22 August and finished on 24 August after eighteen special stages, totaling 324.3 competitive kilometres. Hyundai driver Thierry Neuville earned his first ever World Rally Championship victory of his career. It was also the first rally of the season not to be won by either the Volkswagen of Sébastien Ogier or Jari-Matti Latvala as they had both crashed out during the event. It was the first non-VW victory since the previous year's German Rally won by Citroën's Dani Sordo, ending VW's streak of twelve consecutive WRC rally victories dating back to the 2013 Rally Australia. It was also Hyundai World Rally Team's first victory in the WRC having returned to the sport in 2014 after an eleven-year absence. 2015 World Rally Championship
The 2015 World Rally Championship was the 43rd season of the World Rally Championship, an auto racing championship recognised by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile as the highest class of international rallying. Teams and drivers contest thirteen rallies across four continents, competing for the FIA World Rally Championships for Drivers and Manufacturers. The WRC-2, WRC-3 and Junior WRC championships are run in support of the premier championship. Sébastien Ogier started the season as the defending drivers' champion. His team, Volkswagen Motorsport, were the defending manufacturers' champions. 2005 Rally GB
The 2005 Wales Rally GB (formally known as 61st Wales Rally GB) was the 12th round of the 2005 World Rally Championship. The race was held over four days between 15 and 18 September 2005, and operated out of Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom. Report This rally saw the death of Markko Märtin's co-driver Michael Park of Peugeot after Märtin's 307 lost control and traction, causing it to go off-road and crash into a tree at Stage 15 of the rally. Peugeot decided to withdraw Marcus Grönholm from the event due to the accident. Race organizers cancelled the rally's final two stages, when Sébastien Loeb, who was in the lead, decided to take a time penalty that gave Petter Solberg the victory in the race. Loeb’s victory would have earned him the 2005 world championship, but he decided he did not want to win the title in such tragic circumstances.
