Emelie Melville (c. 1852 – 8 July 1932), also known as Emelie Melville Derby, was an American actress, a star of comic opera, who had a considerable career in Australia. History She was born in Philadelphia and first appeared on stage at the age of 10 in several juvenile parts. At age 16 she played Ophelia to John Wilkes Booth's Hamlet. She was the first in America to play the title role in '' The Grand Duchess'', in San Francisco. Around this time she married Thomas Derby; they were divorced by 1884. She first arrived in Australia in 1875 under engagement to W. S. Lyster to play in a series of operettas in Sydney, followed by Melbourne's Opera House, to packed houses. Emelie Öhrstig, born 27 February 1978 in Borås, Sweden, is a Swedish cross-country skier and road racing cyclist. As a cross-country skier she who won a gold medal during the 2005 Nordic World Ski Championships in Oberstdorf, Germany. She also has eleven additional victories up to 15 km from 2002 to 2005, and her best individual finish in Turin at the 2006 Winter Olympics was 22nd in the individual sprint. Emelie Petz (born 24 March 2003) is a retired German artistic gymnast and is a two-time junior national champion. Early life Petz was born in Backnang in 2003. She currently trains in Allmersbach im Tal. Junior gymnastics career 2015–2016 In 2015 Petz competed at her first German Junior National Championships where she placed first amongst the AK12 division. Emélie Adeline Polini, generally written as Emelie, (24 March 1881 – 31 July 1927) was an English stage actress with a considerable career in Australia. Polini was born in Steyning, Sussex, a daughter of theatrical manager Giovanni Marie Polini and his wife Harriet Frances, née Billings. Her acting career began in London, followed by work in companies touring in England and America. While on Broadway playing in ''Yes or No?'', she was offered a contract with Australian firm J. C.
