Embellish (EP)
''Embellish'' is the second official extended play release by the American electropop music artist, The Jellyrox. Background The EP's production was heavily covered via ''The Jellyrox's'' Tumblr blog. On January 10, 2013, Matt Langston revealed he had begun to work on a new EP and hoped to have it out sometime in the spring. Through his blog, Langston began a series of ten posts updating fans on the progress of the new release. After a few weeks, a pre-order of the ''Embellish EP'' was announced and set on ''The Jellyroxs official store. Fans who pre-ordered the record got it as early as a month in advance. ''Embellish'' debuted on iTunes April 23, 2013. Acoustic Music
Acoustic music is music that solely or primarily uses instruments that produce sound through acoustic means, as opposed to electric or electronic means. While all music was once acoustic, the retronym "acoustic music" appeared after the advent of electric instruments, such as the electric guitar, electric violin, electric organ and synthesizer. Acoustic string instrumentations had long been a subset of popular music, particularly in folk. "Tainted Love" is a song composed by Ed Cobb, formerly of American group the Four Preps, which was originally recorded by Gloria Jones in 1964. It attained worldwide fame after being covered and reworked by British synthpop duo Soft Cell in 1981 and has since been covered by numerous groups and artists. Gloria Jones versions (1964; released 1965) (second recording 1976) American artist Gloria Jones made the first recording of "Tainted Love" in 1964; the song was written and produced by Ed Cobb and arranged by Lincoln Mayorga. It was the B-side of her 1965 single "My Bad Boy's Comin' Home", which was a commercial flop, failing to chart in either the US or the UK. Soft Cell are an English synthpop duo who came to prominence in the early 1980s. The duo consists of vocalist Marc Almond and instrumentalist David Ball. The band are primarily known for their 1981 hit version of " Tainted Love" and their platinum-selling debut album '' Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret''. In the United Kingdom, Soft Cell had twelve top 40 hits, including "Tainted Love" (number 1), " Torch" (number 2), "Say Hello, Wave Goodbye", "What" (both number 3), and " Bedsitter" (number 4). They also had four top 20 albums between 1981 and 1984. In 1984, the duo split; however, they reformed in 2001 to tour and release a new album. The Jellyrox (EP)
''The Jellyrox EP'' is the self-titled debut of Matt Langston's electropop solo music project, The Jellyrox. It was independently released via iTunes and Amazon.com on June 28, 2010. The EP had five songs, one of which went on to be on his first full-length album, '' Heta Himlen''. The EP was pulled from the internet for purchase three weeks after Langston announced its departure on May 31, 2012. However, it is still available for listening many places, such as YouTube and SoundCloud. On September 12, 2011, Matt Langston did an interview with Indie Vision Music about ''The Jellyrox'' in which they addressed the EP and the project at large. Indie rock is a subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s.
