There is a deep incision in the anterior margin. A distinct anal fasciole extends upwards from this incision. The surface is latticed, sculptured with radial ribs. There is no septum inside. Radula The radula has a dental formula of [many].1.4.1.4.1.[many], with a wide, rectangular, acuspate rachidian tooth. The various genera have a few dozen rows of teeth. Robert Boog Watson Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, FRSE (26 September 1823 – 23 June 1910) was a Scottish malacology, malacologist and Minister (Christianity), minister of the Free Church of Scotland (1843–1900), Free Church of Scotland best known as the author of the report on the Tusk shell, Scaphopoda and Gastropoda collected during the Challenger expedition, H.M.S. ''Challenger'' expedition to survey the world's oceans from 1873 to 1876. Watson also described various Opisthobranchia from Madeira. Life He was born in Burntisland in Fife, the son of the Rev Dr Charles Watson DD (1794-1866) of Burntisland and Isabella Boog.
