Emanuele Taglietti (born 1943)''Sex and Horror: The Art of Emanuele Taglietti'', Korero Press, 2015, is an Italian illustrator, mostly known for his covers for digest-sized, adult comics whose themes were sex, violence, and horror. Biography Emanuele Taglietti was born in 1943 in Ferrara, Emilia-Romagna, Italy. His father, Otello, was a painter and a decorator. In the 1960s, Otello Taglietti worked as a set designer on movies made by his cousin, acclaimed director Michelangelo Antonioni, who would often take Emanuele with him on the set. After attending a local art school, Emanuele Taglietti studied design at the Experimental Centre of Cinematography, in Rome. He went on to work as decorator and assistant director in around thirty movies, including Federico Fellini's ''Juliet of the Spirits'', Dino Risi's '' Dirty Weekend'', and others. Renzo Barbieri
Renzo Barbieri (10 March 1940 – 23 September 2007) was an author and editor of Italian comics as well as the founder of the publishing house Edifumetto. In 1980 he wrote ''Il Manuale del Playboy'' (Manual for Playboys), a textbook about where European playboys live, what cars they drive, and other lifestyle tips. Biography The Beginning Barbieri was born in Milan, Italy. In the early 1960s he started collaborating with comics publishers like Editoriale Dardo and Edizioni Alpe. He was also a journalist for the tabloid '' La Notte''. Wallestein the Monster () was a comic in one of the pocket digests produced by the Italian publisher Edifumetto which appeared on Italian newsstands between 1972 and 1982. Wallestein's world was one in which the Gothic and the contemporary intertwined. These comics offered readers a heady mix of Gothic horror, fantasy, sex and violence.
