Emanuel Granberg
Emanuel Granberg (1754–1797) was a Finnish painter. Granberg was born in Vihanti. His father was a chaplain. Granberg primarily worked on murals and paintings for local churches. His first work was for the Muhos church 1773–1774. He also produced works for churches in Oulunsalo, Raahe, Sotkamo. Some of his surviving works can be found in the Oulu Museum of Art and the National Museum of Finland. Vihanti was a municipality of Finland. It was merged with the city of Raahe on 1 January 2013. Vihanti is located in the Northern Ostrobothnia region. Muhos is a municipality of Finland. It is located in the province of Oulu half an hour's drive (35 km) on route 22 from the city of Oulu, the capital of Northern Finland, and is part of the Northern Ostrobothnia region. Raahe
Raahe (; sv, Brahestad; ) is a town and municipality of Finland. Founded by Swedish statesman and Governor General of Finland Count Per Brahe the Younger in 1649, it is one of 10 historic wooden towns (or town centers) remaining in Finland. The Oulu Museum of Art (OMA) is an art museum in the Myllytulli neighbourhood in Oulu. It is located on the edge of the Hupisaaret Islands park. The museum was opened to the public on October 12, 1963. The first premises were in the so-called ''Kolmiotalo'' in the city centre. From the beginning, the museum has focused mainly on the art of northern Finnish artists. The older section of the museum building is a former office and glue factory of the ''Veljekset Åström Oy'' leather factories. The National Museum of Finland ( fi, Kansallismuseo, sv, Nationalmuseum) presents Finnish history from the Stone Age to the present day, through objects and cultural history. The Finnish National Romantic style building is located in central Helsinki and is a part of the Finnish Heritage Agency (until 2018 the National Board of Antiquities) ( fi, Museovirasto, sv, Museiverket), under the Ministry of Culture and Education. Building The building of the National Museum was designed by the architect company Gesellius, Lindgren, Saarinen. The appearance of the building reflects Finland's medieval churches and castles. Onni Okkonen
Onni Okkonen (20 August 1886 – 18 May 1962) was a Finnish art historian based at the University of Helsinki. Okkonen was born in Korpiselkä in Karelia and earned his Ph.D. in 1914. He was appointed professor of art history at the University of Helsinki in 1927, a position that he held until 1945. His main research interests were Finnish art and Italian Renaissance art. His works include an overview of the history of Finnish art, ''Suomen taiteen historia'' (1945), which was translated into English in 1946, as well as monographies on Wäinö Aaltonen, Juho Rissanen and Akseli Gallen-Kallela. He was also active as an art critic for the newspaper ''Uusi Suomi,'' as well as a fiction writer and painter. He was chairman of the Kalevala Society from 1937 to 1942 and a member of the Academy of Finland from 1948 to 1956.
