Emadeddin "Emad" Khatami ( fa, عمادالدین خاتمی) is an Iranian reformist politician. He is the son of former Iranian president Mohammad Khatami Sayyid Mohammad Khatami ( fa, سید محمد خاتمی, ; born 14 October 1943) is an Iranian politician who served as the fifth president of Iran from 3 August 1997 to 3 August 2005. He also served as Iran's Minister of Culture from 1982 t ... and his wife Zohreh Sadeghi. As of 2009, he was out of public spotlight. In the same year, he reportedly founded the student branch of the Baran Foundation. A member of Union of Islamic Iran People Party's central committee, he held office as the party's political deputy secretary-general from 2017 to 2019.
