Elocation
''Elocation'' is the second studio album by Canadian hard rock band Default. It was released on November 25, 2003, by TVT Records. The rock album spawned three singles, including the song "(Taking My) Life Away", which aired on Muzak's Power Rock station. This album failed to match the success of their debut, but is the band's second most commercially successful album, being certified Gold in Canada. The final track, an acoustic version of "Let You Down," originally appeared on their previous album. The album was produced by Butch Walker and Nickelback's Chad Kroeger and contains a cover of the song "Cruel" by Jeff Buckley. Commercial performance ''Elocation'' debuted at #49 on the Canadian Albums Chart. Critical reception Tom Harrison of ''The Province'' rated the album three stars out of four. Default (band)
Default is a Canadian rock band formed in Vancouver in 1999. Since forming, the band has released four albums, and has sold more than a million records. The majority of their fan base is in Canada, but they had brief mainstream success in the United States with the release of their hit single " Wasting My Time". The group disbanded in 2013 after a hiatus following the release of their fourth album, and lead singer Dallas Smith pursued a country music solo career. In 2018, Default announced that they were back together. The band also announced a tour in support of Stone Temple Pilots and Seether, and a co-headline tour with Ages of Days. No new material has since surfaced from the band, as Smith remained active with his solo endeavors. ''The Fallout'' is the debut studio album by Canadian hard rock band Default, released on October 2, 2001. Chad Kroeger, the frontman of Nickelback, contributed to the album's production and co-wrote six of its songs including its second single. With two hit singles, ''The Fallout'' is widely considered Default's best work and was their biggest commercial success, gaining platinum certification in the United States. The song " Wasting My Time" received much airplay throughout 2001 and 2002. Bradley Glenn "Butch" Walker (born November 14, 1969) is an American singer-songwriter, musician, and record producer. He was lead guitarist for the glam metal band, SouthGang from the late 1980s to early 1990s. From 1997 to 2001, he became the lead vocalist and guitarist for the rock band, Marvelous 3. Career SouthGang Bradley Walker grew up in Cartersville, Georgia, working as a guitarist and performer in several rock bands during the 1980s, including Bad Boys and Byte the Bullet. ''One Thing Remains'' is the third studio album by Canadian hard rock band Default. It was released on October 11, 2005. The album features a more straightforward hard rock sound than the band's previous work, downplaying their characteristic alternative metal elements. "The Memory Will Never Die" was used as one of the theme songs of World Wrestling Entertainment's (WWE) event WrestleMania 23 and WWE's Tribute to the Troops. The album produced three singles, including "Count on Me", which reached number one on the Canadian rock airplay chart and the top 40 on both the Mainstream and Alternative rock charts in the United States. Dallas Hendry Smith (born December 4, 1977) is a Canadian singer and songwriter, who performs both as a solo country music artist and as lead singer for the hard rock band Default. Joey Moi (born August 9, 1975) is a Canadian record producer, audio engineer, mixer, songwriter, and musician. He is known for his work with the rock groups Nickelback and My Darkest Days, and country music acts Chris Lane, Dallas Smith, Florida Georgia Line, Jake Owen, and Morgan Wallen.
