Mary Goodhew
Mary Goodhew was the Artistic Director of Elmhurst Ballet School in Edgbaston, Birmingham, until she left to become director of Legat Ballet in July 2008, taking up that post in September 2008. As a child she studied ballet in Kent with Rita Emmerson, (a former pupil of Enrico Cecchetti the Ballet Master to Diaghilev's Ballets Russes) until she was sixteen. She was a Cecchetti Society Scholar and was awarded the Cyril Beaumont Scholarship to the Royal Ballet Upper School. While still a student she danced with The Royal Ballet at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and on their overseas tours. Caroline Langrishe (born 10 January 1958) is an English actress. Jacqueline "Jacqui" Chan (born 1939) is a Chinese-Trinidadian dancer, actress and singer. Early life Chan was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago to a Chinese mother and a Chinese-Russian father. Her parents had both migrated to British Guiana as indentured laborers to work on a sugar cane plantation after the abolition of slavery. Thomas Forster (dancer)
Thomas Forster (born 1986) is an English ballet dancer who is currently a principal dancer with the American Ballet Theatre. Forster was born in London. He was first sent to study ballet as his mother believed it would help his karate training. His ballet teacher then recommended him to be a Junior Associate with The Royal Ballet School. At age 11, as the Royal Ballet Lower School did not offer him a spot, he started full-time training at Elmhurst School for Dance in Birmingham, where he stayed for five years. In 2002, Forster returned to London to train at the Royal Ballet Upper School. Melissa Hamilton (born 2 August 1989) is a Northern Irish ballet dancer and a principal dancer with the Royal Ballet, London. Early life Hamilton was born in Belfast and spent most of her childhood in Dromore, County Down. Her father is a builder and her mother is a pre-school teacher.
