Elmenhorst/Lichtenhagen is a Municipalities of Germany, municipality in the Rostock (district), Rostock district, in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. Geography Elmenhorst/Lichtenhagen is located in the "Hägerortes" district, between the lower reaches of the little Warnow, Warnow River and Bad Doberan, close to the Baltic Sea, Baltic Sea (known in German as the East Sea) coast. Lichtenhagen is a borough of Rostock in the federal state Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. It is a Plattenbau housing estate built from 1974 to 1976. It derives its name from the adjacent village of Elmenhorst/Lichtenhagen. Its population peaked in 1988 with 20,276 inhabitants, which had fallen continuously to 13,467 by 2006. By 2013, its population recovered to 14,171, as the city of Rostock continues to grow. The borough became infamous in August 1992 for the Lichtenhagen riots. Friedland is a municipality in the district of Göttingen, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated on the river Leine, approx. 13 km south of Göttingen. Bad Doberan
Bad Doberan () is a town in the district of Rostock, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. It was the capital of the former district of Bad Doberan. In 2012, its population was 11,427. Geography Bad Doberan is situated just west of Rostock's city centre and is therefore part of one of the most developed regions in the north-eastern part of Germany.
