Ellis Ashbrook is an American contemporary experimental rock group from Brooklyn, New York, United States. The band consists of John Barber (lead guitar, vocals), Alex Major (drum kit), Jonathan Granoff (bass guitar), and Dan Keller (rhythm guitar, keyboards, vocals). Barber and Granoff are both graduates of the Berklee School of Music and Major is a graduate of Boston University. Experimental Rock
Experimental rock, also called avant-rock, is a subgenre of rock music that pushes the boundaries of common composition and performance technique or which experiments with the basic elements of the genre. Artists aim to liberate and innovate, with some of the genre's distinguishing characteristics being improvisational performances, avant-garde influences, odd instrumentation, opaque lyrics (or instrumentals), unorthodox structures and rhythms, and an underlying rejection of commercial aspirations. East Greenwich is a town and the county seat of Kent County, Rhode Island. The population was 14,312 at the 2020 census. East Greenwich is the wealthiest municipality within the state of Rhode Island. It is part of the Providence metropolitan statistical area and the Greater Boston combined statistical area.
