Elliott Himmelberg
Elliott Himmelberg (born 4 June 1998) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life Himmelberg grew up in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales. He moved to Brisbane in Queensland in 2016 where he began playing with Redland. Himmelberg was selected to play for Queensland and the Allies in the 2016 AFL Under 18 Championships. He suffered a broken leg, which stopped him from attending the AFL Draft Combine, and missed the rest of the 2016 season. He was involved with the Lions Academy but was not eligible for exclusive selection in the 2016 AFL draft because he had not spent enough time in Queensland. Himmelberg was selected by Adelaide with pick 51 in the 2016 national draft, their third selection. Redland-Victoria Point Sharks Football Club (nicknamed The Sharks) is a Brisbane based sports club. The Australian rules football team competes in the Queensland Australian Football League (QAFL) since 2021. The Greater Western Sydney Giants (officially the Greater Western Sydney Football Club and colloquially known as the GWS Giants or simply GWS) are a professional Australian rules football team based in Sydney Olympic Park, which represents the Greater Western Sydney region of New South Wales and Canberra in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT). Harrison George Himmelberg (born 8 May 1996) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Greater Western Sydney Giants in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life Himmelberg was born in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales and spent 1 year of his childhood living in New York City where his American father was working. Upon returning to Wagga, he participated in the Auskick program at Mangoplah Cookardinia United Eastlakes Football & Netball Club in Mangoplah and began playing his junior football at the club in the Riverina Football League. Donald Lachlan Pyke (born 5 December 1968) is a former Australian rules footballer who is an assistant coach at the Sydney Swans. He was formerly the senior coach of the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He played for the West Coast Eagles from 1989 to 1996. Pyke was the first United States born player in the Australian Football League and played more games and kicked more goals than any other American born player in the history of the league with 132 games and 97 goals.
