Ellie Gavalas
Ellie Gavalas (born 25 March 1996) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Western Bulldogs in the AFL Women's (AFLW). She has previously played for North Melbourne. Gavalas was drafted by North Melbourne with their first selection and tenth overall in the 2019 AFL Women's draft. She made her debut against at Casey Fields in the opening round of the 2020 season. It was revealed she signed on with the club for two more seasons on 17 June 2021, tying her to the club until the end of 2023. Career Gavalas grew up playing soccer and played for the Tasmanian state representative team and the Matildas under-17 national team. She made the switch to Australian rules in 2018, playing for Marcellin in the VAFA. Gavalas was named in the 2019 VFLW team of the year playing for the Western Bulldogs. 2020 AFL Women's Season
The 2020 AFL Women's season was the fourth season of the AFL Women's competition, the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Australia. The season featured fourteen clubs, with four new teams joining the league: , , and . The season ran from 7 February until 22 March. Victorian Amateur Football Association
The Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) is the largest senior community Australian rules football competition in Victoria. It consists of seven senior men's and women's divisions ranging from Premier to Division 4. In addition there are U19's sections and five Thirds sections, primarily made up of either clubs only able to field one team, or clubs from higher sections that can field a third team after their seniors and reserves. The league operates a double promotion and relegation system between sections with various rules dictating which section clubs can play in. The league's administration base is at Elsternwick Park, a former Victorian Football Association stadium in suburban Elsternwick, Victoria, that was home to the now defunct Brighton Football Club and is now the home base for Old Melburnians Football Club and Elsternwick Football Club. Marcellin College, Bulleen
Marcellin College is a Catholic secondary boys' college in Bulleen, Victoria, Australia. The school was founded in 1950 by the Marist Brothers originally in Canterbury Road, Camberwell, Victoria. A senior school campus was opened in Bulleen for years 9 to 12 with the Canterbury campus catering for years 4 to 8. With the school population growing the Junior School in Camberwell stopped accepting students in grades 4, 5 and 6 and took only Years 7 and 8. North Melbourne Football Club
The North Melbourne Football Club, nicknamed the Kangaroos, is a professional Australian rules football club. Western Bulldogs
The Western Bulldogs are a professional Australian rules football team that competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), the sport's premier competition. Founded in 1877 as the Footscray Football Club, and based in West Footscray in the old City of Footscray west of Melbourne, the club won nine premierships in the Victorian Football Association (VFA) before gaining admission to the Victorian Football League (which became the AFL in 1990) in 1925.
