Elli Suoranta
Elli Suoranta (born 17 June 2002) is a Finnish ice hockey defenceman for Ilves Naiset of the Auroraliiga and a member of Finland women's national ice hockey team. She previously played for HPK Kiekkonaiset. Playing career Suoranta began her ice hockey career for Ilves Naiset. After three seasons with Ilves, she joined HPK Kiekkonaiset on 2 May 2020. During the 2020–21 season, she recorded eight goals and six assists in 27 regular season games. During the 2022–23 season, she recorded 13 goals and 16 assists in 34 regular season games. Following the season she was named to the Naisten Liiga Second All-Star team. During the 2023–24 season, she recorded 13 goals and 15 assists in 27 regular season games. During the 2024–25 season, she recorded four goals and 15 assists in 32 regular season games. She was named Auroraliiga player of the month in November 2024. Ilves Naiset
Tampereen Ilves Naiset () are an ice hockey team in the Auroraliiga. They are the representative women's team of the multi-sport club Ilves ry, Ilves, based in Tampere, and their home arena is the in Tampere's Tesoma district. Ilves is the only team that has played in every season since the establishment of the Naisten SM-sarja in 1982 (called the Naisten Liiga in 2017–2024 and rebranded as Auroraliiga in 2024). The team ranks second on the list of most Aurora Borealis Cup wins, with ten, and has claimed the most Finnish Champion, Finnish Championship medals in league history, with ten gold, twelve silver, and six bronze for 28 total medals. Naisten Liiga All-Star Team
The Auroraliiga All-Star teams honor the best performers at each position over the Auroraliiga season and have been recognized since the 2006–07 season. Since the 2023–24 season, all-star team selection is done by the coaches of the Auroraliiga; previously, teams were selected by the Finnish Ice Hockey Association. IIHF World Women's U18 Championships
The IIHF U18 Women's World Championship, officially the IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women's World Championship, is an annual ice hockey tournament for national women's under-18 (U18) ice hockey teams, administered by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The 2021–22 season was the thirty-ninth season of the , the premier level of women's ice hockey in Finland, since the league's establishment as the Naisten SM-sarja in 1982. 2019–20 Naisten Liiga Season
The 2019–20 Naisten Liiga season was the thirty-seventh season of the Naisten Liiga, the premier level of women's ice hockey in Finland, since the league’s establishment in 1982. The postseason was cancelled by the Finnish Ice Hockey Association on 12 March 2020 in response to public health concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. A penalty in ice hockey is a punishment for an infringement of the rules. Most penalties are enforced by sending the offending player to a penalty box for a set number of minutes. During the penalty the player may not participate in play. In ice hockey, an assist is attributed to up to two players of the scoring team who shot, passed or deflected the Puck (sports)#In ice hockey, puck towards the scoring teammate, or touched it in any other way which enabled the Goal (ice hockey), goal, meaning that they were "assisting" in the goal.
