Elizaveta Grechishnikova
Yelizaveta Andrianovna Grechishnikova (; born 12 December 1983) is a Russian long-distance runner. She represented Russia in the 5000 metres at the World Championships in Athletics in 2009 and 2011. She was eighth in the event at the 2010 European Athletics Championships. Born in Mordovia, her first medal came at the 2007 Summer Universiade, where she was the 5000 m bronze medallist. Grechishnikova won her first national title at the Russian Indoor Championships in 2010. Long-distance running, or endurance running, is a form of continuous running over distances of at least . Physiologically, it is largely Aerobic exercise, aerobic in nature and requires stamina as well as mental strength. Within endurance running come two different types of Respiration (physiology), respiration. The more prominent side that runners experience more frequently is aerobic respiration. The 13th IAAF World Championships in Athletics () was an international athletics competition that was held in Daegu, South Korea. It started on 27 August 2011 and finished on 4 September 2011. Doping Cases In Athletics
The use of performance-enhancing drugs (doping in sport) is prohibited within the sport of athletics. Athletes who are found to have used such banned substances, whether through a positive drugs test, the biological passport system, an investigation or public admission, may receive a competition ban for a length of time which reflects the severity of the infraction. Athletes who are found to have banned substances in their possession, or who tamper with or refuse to submit to drug testing can also receive bans from the sport.
