Elizabetta Sgarbi
Elisabetta Sgarbi (born 1956) is an Italian filmmaker, publisher and editorial director based in Milan. Career Sgarbi was born in Ferrara. She is the younger sister of art historian and politician Vittorio Sgarbi. After obtaining a degree in pharmacology, she started working in the communication department of Studio Tesi, an engineering and architecture firm. She later worked as editorial director of the publishing house Bompiani for over 25 years. In 2015 she co-founded the publishing house La Nave di Teseo with Umberto Eco and Mario Andreose is a character (arts), character created by Japanese video game designer Shigeru Miyamoto. Vittorio Sgarbi
Vittorio Umberto Antonio Maria Sgarbi (born 8 May 1952 in Ferrara) is an Italian art critic, art historian, writer, politician, cultural commentator and television personality. He is President of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto. He was appointed curator of the Italian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, 2011 Venice Biennale. Several times a member of the Italy, Italian Parliament, in 2008 he served as Cabinet Member for Culture, Arts and Sports in Milan's municipal government for six months when Mayor Letizia Moratti terminated his mandate as she saw him 'unfit for the job'. In 2012, he was removed as Mayor of Salemi by the Ministry of Interior after he failed to acknowledge Mafia interferences in his cabinet. Bompiani is an Italian publishing house based in Milan. It was founded in 1929 by Valentino Bompiani. In 1990, Bompiani became part of the RCS MediaGroup. It was sold in 2015 to the Giunti Group. It is widely regarded as one of the leading literary publishing houses in Italy. History Bompiani experienced attempts at book censorship by Italy's fascist government from the 1920s through the 1940s. In 1940, Valentino Bompiani was summoned to Rome to meet with Alessandro Pavolini, the Minister of Popular Culture.
