Elite League (India)
The Youth League is a system of youth football leagues that are managed, organised and controlled by the All India Football Federation. It consists of 3 age groups competitions: U17 (AIFF Youth League), U15 (Junior League) and U13 (Sub-Junior League). History The league was founded as the I-League U19 in 2008, which was to give youth teams of the I-League a national league to play in. 16 teams were split into four groups of four. At the end of the season, the top team from the group stage would move onto the final stage with the other group winners, and play each other once. The inaugural winners were Tata Football Academy. The competition name was changed in 2012 to the I-League U-20, because many U-20 players in the I-League were not getting any time in the senior teams. The U20 name only lasted for two seasons, before the All India Football Federation decided to switch the tournament format back to an under-19 format from 2014. Minerva Academy Football Club (often referred to as Minerva Punjab) is an Indian professional multi-sports club based in Mohali/Chandigarh, Punjab (India), Punjab, best known for its association football, football, cricket and futsal teams. The 2023–24 Youth League, also known as the 2023–24 U-17 Youth League, was the fourteenth season of the Indian Youth League and the second season of the under-17 category. 2022–23 U-17 Youth Cup
The 2022–23 Youth League, also known as 2022–23 Hero U-17 Youth Cup (for sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp), was the thirteenth season of the Indian Youth League and the first season of the competition as an under-17 category. The 2019–20 season was abandoned midway and the league was not held since then due to the coronavirus pandemic. The 2016–17 I-League U18 was the ninth season of the Indian I-League U18 and the second season of the competition as an under-18 one. The season began on 15 November with 35 teams divided into eight groups across India. The top 12 teams played in the final group stage in which they were divided into three groups of four and the top team from each group, along with the top second place team, went into the semi-finals, followed by the final. 2015–16 I-League U18
The 2015–16 I-League U18 is the eighth season of the Indian I-League U18 competition. The U-18 I-League is the premier age-group football tournament of the country which has been re-structured keeping AFC U-19 Championship in mind. The season began on 8 October 2015. and on 10 February 2016, AIFF Elite Academy won the title by defeating Tata Football Academy 2–0 in the final. AIFF Elite Academy also remained unbeaten in the tournament. Format The teams were divided in five groups based on their geographical location and they played on home-and-away basis against each other within the groups.
