Elisabeth Feichtinger
Elisabeth Feichtinger (born 24 September 1987) is an Austrian politician of the Social Democratic Party. She has been a member of the National Council since 2021, having previously served from 2017 to 2019. The National Council (, ) is one of the two houses of the Austrian Parliament and is frequently referred to as the lower house. The Politics of Austria, constitution endows the National Council with far more power than the Federal Council (Austria), Federal Council. Responsibilities The National Council is where Austria's federal legislature, legislative authority is concentrated; for a bill to become federal law, it must be resolved upon by this chamber. Bills passed by the National Council are sent to the Federal Council of Austria, Federal Council for corroboration. If the Federal Council approves of the bill or simply does nothing for eight weeks, the bill has succeeded. If the Federal Council vetoes the bill, the National Council may still force it into law by essentially just passing it again; a National Council resolution overruling a Federal Council objection merely has to meet a higher quorum than a regular resolution. Markus Vogl
Markus Vogl (born 27 November 1970) is an Austrian politician and former member of the National Council. A member of the Social Democratic Party, he represented Traunviertel from October 2013 to January 2021. Vogl was born on 27 November 1970 in Steyr. His early education was at boarding school as his mother was a single parent and a shift worker at Steyr plants. He worked for MAN Truck & Bus from 1991 to 2010 designing driver's cabs. He joined the works council at MAN in 2000 and served as its chairman from 2010 to 2019. He has been a member of the presidium of the Union of Private Sector Employees, Printing, Journalism, and Paper (GPA-DJP) since 2014 and chairman of the union's Upper Austrian branch since 2015. He has been a member of the board of the Austrian Trade Union Federation (ÖGB) since 2015. Traunviertel (National Council Electoral District)
Traunviertel, also known as Electoral District 4D (), is one of the 39 multi-member regional electoral districts of the National Council, the lower house of the Austrian Parliament, the national legislature of Austria. The electoral district was created in 1992 when electoral regulations were amended to add regional electoral districts to the existing state-wide electoral districts and came into being at the following legislative election in 1994. It consists of the city of Steyr and the Districts of Austria, districts of Gmunden District, Gmunden, Kirchdorf District, Kirchdorf and Steyr Rural District, Steyr Rural in the Federal states of Austria, state of Upper Austria. The electoral district currently elects six of the 183 members of the National Council using the Open list, open party-list proportional representation electoral system.
