Elijah Brown
Elijah Brown is a Canadian dancer and a performer. He is known for his work with Celine Dion, Franco Dragone, Marie Chouinard, and Louise Lecavalier. In 2007 he wrote a song with Claude Mego Lemay, the musical director of Celine Dion, that was chosen out of 100,000 entries to be performed at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Career He is best known for his performance alongside Celine Dion as the lead character in the top grossing entertainment show '' A New Day...'' created by director Franco Dragone. Elijah also premiered in an hour long solo titled "Des Feux Dans la Nuit" at the Burgtheater in Vienna, Austria. This solo was created specifically for him by the famous choreographer Marie Chouinard. The Canadian Opera Company (COC) is an opera company in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is the largest opera company in Canada and one of the largest producers of opera in North America. The COC performs in its own opera house, the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts. For forty years until April 2006, the COC had performed at the O'Keefe Centre (now known as Meridian Hall). Cirque du Soleil (, ; "Circus of the Sun" or "Sun Circus") is a Canadian entertainment company and the largest contemporary circus producer in the world. Located in the inner-city area of Saint-Michel, it was founded in Baie-Saint-Paul on 16 June 1984 by former street performers Guy Laliberté and Gilles Ste-Croix. The Kids in the Hall is a Canadian sketch comedy troupe formed in 1984, consisting of comedians Dave Foley, Bruce McCulloch, Kevin McDonald, Mark McKinney and Scott Thompson. Their eponymous television show ran from 1989 to 1995, on CBC, in Canada. It also appeared on CBS, HBO and Comedy Central, in the United States. The Kids made one film, ''Brain Candy'', which was released in 1996. They reformed for various tours and comedy festivals in 2000. They later reunited for an eight-part miniseries, ''Death Comes to Town'', in January 2010. An eight-episode revival season was released on May 13, 2022 on Amazon Prime Video. James Newell Osterberg Jr. (born April 21, 1947), known professionally as Iggy Pop, is an American singer, musician, songwriter and actor. Called the " Godfather of Punk", he was the vocalist and lyricist of proto-punk band The Stooges, who were formed in 1967 and have disbanded and reunited many times since. Franco Dragone
Franco Dragone (12 December 1952 – 30 September 2022) was an Italian-born Belgian theatre director. He was the founder and artistic director of Dragone, a creative company specializing in the creation of large-scale theatre shows. He was also known for his work with Cirque du Soleil and Celine Dion. CNN said that Dragone was "one of the key architects of Cirque du Soleil's theatrical style", and that "while Cirque du Soleil's signature was contemporary circus, Dragone's solo work embodies more theater, dance -- and, of course, water" through the use of his "trademark" aquatic stages.
