Elif Åžahin
Elif Şahin (born 19 January 2001) is a Turkish Volleyball player. She is tall at and plays in the Setter position. She plays for Eczacıbaşı Dynavit in Istanbul. She is a member of the Turkey women's national volleyball team. Club career Elif Şahin is tall at , and plays in the Setter position. She started her sport career in the academy of Karayolları SK in her hometown Ankara in the 2017–18 season. She won the Turkish runner-up title with the youth team in the 2017-19 season. She joined Istanbul-based Eczacıbaşı Dynavit in the 2020–21 Turkish Women's Volleyball League. The same season, she won the 2020 AXA Sigorta Champions Cup. She took the bronze medal at the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship in Antalya, Turkey. International career Şahin was admitted to the Turkey women's national U-18 team. 2017 FIVB Volleyball Girls' U18 World Championship
The 2017 FIVB Volleyball Girls' U18 World Championship was the fifteenth edition of the international volleyball tournament and the world championship for women's national teams under the age of 18, organized by the sport's world governing body, FIVB. The tournament was hosted by Argentina in the cities of Rosario and Santa Fe from 18 to 27 August 2017. 20 teams from the 5 confederations competed in the tournament. Italy won its second title in the competition, after also winning the previous edition, defeating Dominican Republic in the final. Russia defeated Turkey for the bronze medal. 2021–22 Turkish Women's Volleyball League
The 2021–22 Turkish Women's Volleyball League is the 39th volleyball tournament year and the top-level women's volleyball tournament of the newly branded and reorganized Turkish Women's Volleyball League. The winner, runner-up and third of Turkish Women's Volleyball League will play in CEV Champions League league round and 4th place will play in CEV Cup main phase. The 5th place will play in CEV Challenge Cup main phase while the last 2 teams in the Turkish Women's Volleyball League will be relegated to the Second League. Turkish Women's Volleyball League
Sultanlar Ligi (''Sultans League''), known for sponsorship reasons as Vodafone Sultanlar Ligi, is the highest professional women's volleyball league in Turkey. It is run by the Turkish Volleyball Federation and began with the 1984–85 season. 14 clubs are currently participating in the league. It is often regarded as the best professional women's volleyball league in the world. Its clubs have obtained significant successes in Europe, European and other international competitions. Eczacıbaşı VitrA, Eczacıbaşı are the most successful club, having won 16 championships so far. It succeeded the former Turkish Women's Volleyball Championship (1956–1984). 2023 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship
The 2023 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship was the 16th edition of the competition. It was held in Hangzhou, China. The tournament took place from 13 to 17 December 2023. Eczacıbaşı Dynavit Istanbul won their third title after defeating their archrivals VakıfBank Spor Kulubu in five-set match (3–2) in the final. VakıfBank Spor Kulubu settle for silver. Tianjin Bohai Bank claimed bronze and it's also their first medal of the tournament, defeating Dentil Praia Clube in four sets for the third place match. FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship
The FIVB Women's Volleyball Club World Championship is an international women's club volleyball competition organised by the ''Fédération Internationale de Volleyball'' (FIVB), the sport's global sports governing body, governing body. The competition was first contested in 1991 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship, 1991 in Brazil. It was not held between 1995 and 2009, but since 2010 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship, 2010, the competition has been held every year, and has been hosted by Qatar, Switzerland, the Philippines, Japan, China and Turkey. Saliha Şahin (born 5 November 1998) is a Turkish professional volleyball player. She is tall at and plays in the Outside Hitter position. After four years with Eczacıbaşı Dynavit and a single season in Poland with KPS Chemik Police, she has come back in Istanbul playing for Beşiktaş. She is a member of the Turkey women's national volleyball team. Club career Saliha Şahin is tall at , and plays in the Outside Hitter position. She started her sport career in the academy of Karayolları SK in her hometown Ankara in 2015. In 2018, she transferred to the Istanbul-based Eczacıbaşı Dynavit, formerly Eczacıbaşı Vitra. Volleyball At The 2024 Summer Olympics
The volleyball tournaments at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris were held from 27 July to 11 August 2024. 24 volleyball teams and 48 beach volleyball teams participated in the tournament. Indoor volleyball competitions occurred at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles with the beach volleyball tournament staged at the Eiffel Tower Stadium in Champ de Mars. This was the first time in the history of the Olympic volleyball competition, each team participating in the Games was entitled to include one non-competing (AP) athlete to replace an athlete for medical reasons. As such, team rosters increased from 12 to 13 athletes. However, only 12 were considered as part of the team.
