Elias Nyamlell Wako
Professor Elias Nyamlell Wako (or Wakoson) is a South Sudanese academic and politician. Early years Elias Nyamlell Wakoson was born in Wau Wau, Bahr Al Ghazal, in what is now South Sudan. He graduated from Rumbek senior secondary school in 1969, and went on to the University of Khartoum. In 2004 Elias Nyamlell Wakoson was a professor of literature at Grayson College, Texas, USA. He distributed a document in South Sudan in which he said "The Bashir regime has reached a point where it has had enough of the SPLA, and it wants to bail out of the peace talks through a staged coup. Once they bail out, the successor of the present military government will come with its own agenda and demand that the whole game of negotiation with the SPLA start from zero." Wau, South Sudan
Wau (; also known as Wow, Waw, or Wau Town) is a town, locally referred to as a city, in northwestern South Sudan on the western bank of Jur River. It is the capital of Western Bahr el Ghazal region in South Sudan. It lies approximately northwest of the capital, Juba. It is a diverse small urban center (town) and a trading hub. The city has been a municipality since 2012 and is governed by a mayor who the state governor usually appoints. The city comprises several neighborhoods including Nazareth, Hai Fahal, Sika Hadid, and Daraja. The Sudan People's Liberation Movement-in-Opposition (Abbreviation, abbreviated SPLM-IO), also known as the anti-governmental forces (AGF), is a mainly South Sudanese political party and rebel group that split from the Sudan People's Liberation Movement in 2013, due to political tensions between President Salva Kiir Mayardit, Salva Kiir and Vice President Riek Machar over leadership of the SPLM. Tensions grew between forces loyal to Kiir and Machar and South Sudan plunged into the South Sudanese Civil War. The party and militia are led by Riek Machar. Machar appointed General Simon Gatwech Dual as Army Chief of General Staff, deputized by the Deputy Chief of General Staffs for operations, training, political and moral orientation, logistics, administration and finance. Western Bahr El Ghazal
Western Bahr el Ghazal is a state in South Sudan. It has an area of and as of 2020 has estimated 600,000 in population. It is part of the Bahr el Ghazal region. Its capital is Wau. The state shared international borders with Sudan to the north and the Central African Republic to the west.
