Eli Salama
Eli Salama (born August 24, 1996) is a Canadian professional lacrosse defenceman playing with the Calgary Roughnecks of the National Lacrosse League (NLL), for whom he serves as an alternate captain, and Chrome Lacrosse Club of the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL). He previously played for the Dallas Rattlers of the MLL. College career Salama played for the RIT Tigers for four seasons and advanced to the NCAA Championship game with the Tigers 20 2017. In 2018, he was named USILA Division III Long-Pole of the Year, Liberty League Defensive Player of the Year, USILA First Team All-American and All-Liberty League First Team. Calgary Roughnecks
The Calgary Roughnecks are a Canadian professional box lacrosse team based in Calgary, Alberta, that competes in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). The team plays its home games at Scotiabank Saddledome. The team name is derived from the roughnecks who work drilling rigs in Alberta's oil and gas industry. The team is affectionately known by fans as the ''Riggers''. The Roughnecks were founded in 2001, their first season was 2002, and they have qualified for the post-season every year from 2003 to 2016. They have won three division championships (2005, 2009, 2011) and have captured the NLL Cup as NLL champions three times. Premier Lacrosse League
The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) is a professional field lacrosse league in the United States. The league comprises eight teams. Its inaugural season debuted on June 1, 2019, and included a 14-week tour-based schedule taking place in 12 major-market cities. The league was founded by the American professional lacrosse player Paul Rabil and his brother Mike Rabil. Investors include the Chernin Group, the Raine Group and Joseph Tsai. Lacrosse is a contact team sport played with a lacrosse stick and a lacrosse ball. It is the oldest organized sport in North America, with its origins with the indigenous people of North America as early as the 12th century. The game was extensively modified by European colonists, reducing the violence, to create its current collegiate and professional form.
