Eli Kaneti
Eli Kaneti is an Israeli basketball coach. Eli Kaneti coached Maccabi Tel Aviv in 1993 and Kiryat Motzkin in 1999. He coached Bnei Herzliya in 2002, but was replaced mid-season by assistant coach Israel Lev, after the team experienced a losing streak. In 2007, he coached Hapoel Galil Elyon. Kiryat Motzkin
Kiryat Motzkin ( he, קִרְיַת מוֹצְקִין) is a city in the Haifa District of Israel, north of the city of Haifa. In it had a population of . The city is named after Leo Motzkin (1867-1933), one of the organizers of the First Zionist Congress in 1897. The mayor of the city is Haim Zuri. History Kiryat Motzkin was founded in 1934, and by 1935 the first school was opened. In 1939, the town had a population of about 2,000 and 345 buildings. Kiryat Motzkin railway station was constructed by British Mandatory Palestine in 1937. In the Second World War, Kiryat Motzkin suffered from German\Italian air bombarding. It received local council status in 1940. During the 1947–48 Civil War in Mandatory Palestine, an important battle took place near Kiryat Motzkin when the Haganah destroyed an Arab arms convoy and killed the commander of Arab forces in the process. Bnei Herzliya Basket (, lit. ''Sons of Herzliya''), is a professional basketball club that is based in Herzliya, in the Sharon district in Israel. The club plays in the Israeli Basketball Premier League, the top division of Israeli basketball. It has won the Israeli State Cup twice, most recently in 2022. This season the club will also play in the Basketball Champions League (BCL), one of Europe's largest international competitions. Hapoel Galil Elyon ( he, הפועל גליל עליון), also known as Hapoel Nofar Energy Galil Elion for sponsorship reasons, is an Israeli basketball club. The team competes in the Israeli Basketball Premier League, the top tier of Israeli basketball, and internationally in the Balkan League. The team represents the northern region of the country – the Upper Galilee, and the Golan Heights. Oded Kattash ( he, עודד קטש, born October 10, 1974) is an Israeli professional basketball coach for Maccabi Tel Aviv and former player. During his playing career, at a height of 194 cm (6' 4 ") tall, he played at the point guard position. He was the 1998 Israeli Basketball Premier League MVP. As a player, he won the EuroLeague title in the 1999–2000 season, while playing with Panathinaikos. Early career When Kattash was 9 years old, he joined the junior youth department of Maccabi Tel Aviv. He then played with Maccabi Darom, which was Maccabi Tel Aviv's farm team at the time. Professional playing career Kattash played with Maccabi Ramat Gan, and Hapoel Galil Elyon, before returning in 1995, to Maccabi Tel Aviv, to join their senior men's team.
