He came under public scrutiny after being granted administrator-level access to critical U.S. Treasury payment systems, despite having no previous experience in government. Hani i Elezit or Elez Han ( sq-definite, Hani i Elezit; , ''Đeneral Janković''; officially Елез Хан, ''Elez Han'') is a town and municipality located in the Ferizaj District of Kosovo. History The town has been inhabited since the 1500s. Its name in Ottoman times was ''İlyas-Han'', which it got because of the Han of Elez Dimca. The town was renamed after Serbian general Božidar Janković in 1914 by a decision of the Serbian Council of Ministers. It is one of the new formed municipalities formed in September 2005. It was previously part of the Kaçanik municipality. In 2012, the Kosovo Assembly approved the renaming of the town to Elez Han for its publications in Serbian and English; the name remains ''Hani i Elezit'' in Albanian. Gjergj Elez Alia or Đerzelez Alija is a legendary character found in the epic poetry and literature of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Gora, Kosovo and northern Albania. Elez Isufi
Elez Isufi (1861 – 30 December 1924) was an Albanian patriot, Kachak and military leader known for his prominent role in the Albanian resistance against the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes (later Yugoslavia) in the early 20th century as part of the Kachak Movement, as well as the democratic uprisings against the regime of Ahmet Zogu in the 1920s. Early life Elez Isuf Ndreu was born in the village of Sllove, Dibra in 1861. His family came from the village of Soricë in Zall-Dardhë, but they moved due to economic hardships. Although he himself was uneducated, Isufi advocated for the education of Albanian children and financially sponsored the opening of a school in the local area alongside the teacher Hoxhë Kalla. Activities Elez Isufi was active against the Ottoman forces during the Albanian uprisings against the Ottoman Empire. Elez Koçi
Elez Koci (Elez Sadik Koçi) (1856–1916) was a prominent Albanian independence activist from the region of Dibër District, Dibër, Albania. He was born on 1856, in Ostren i Madh, Dibër District, Dibër, in the present-day municipality of Bulqizë. He attended elementary studies in Debar and in 1876 finished the theological high school in Bitola, Monastir. He participated in the 1908 Congress of Monastir which established the Albanian alphabet and also lead a revolt against a new Ottoman Empire, Ottoman administration in the region of Diber in 1911 and was subsequently arrested and sentenced 3 years in prison for rebellion.
