Eve 6
Eve 6, stylized as EVE 6 or EVƎ 6, is an American rock band formed in 1995 in Southern California, best known for its hit singles " Inside Out" and " Here's to the Night". It disbanded in 2004, returned for numerous tours in 2007 with a new lineup, and finally reunited with all three original members in early 2011. It signed to Fearless Records in the spring of that year, and released its fourth album, '' Speak in Code,'' containing the singles "Victoria" and "Curtain", in April 2012. In 2021, it released a new EP, ''Grim Value'', and in 2022, a full-length album, ''Hyper Relevisation'', on Velocity Records. In 2024, the band self-released their sixth album titled ''Dream Fist.'' The ''Billboard'' Hot 100, also known as simply the Hot 100, is the music industry standard record chart in the United States for songs, published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. Chart rankings are based on sales (physical and digital), online streaming, and radio airplay in the U.S. A new chart is compiled and released online to the public by ''Billboard''s website on Tuesdays but post-dated to the following Saturday, when the printed magazine first reaches newsstands. The weekly tracking period for sales is currently Friday–Thursday, after being changed in July 2015. It was initially Monday–Sunday when Nielsen started tracking sales in 1991. Velocity Records
Equal Vision Records is an independent record label based in Albany, New York. It was founded in the early 1990s by Ray Cappo, the singer for the punk bands Youth of Today, Shelter, and Better Than a Thousand. Initially, the label existed solely to distribute Shelter and other Krishna releases. In 1992, label manager Steve Reddy acquired Equal Vision from Cappo. The focus of the label expanded, bringing a wider variety of bands on board. According to ''Punk News'', the mid-to-late '90s witnessed a renewed emphasis on hardcore efforts at Equal Vision, with notable signings such as One King Down and Ten Yard Fight. By the end of the '90s, Equal Vision Records (EVR) had built a stable of hardcore and punk bands, adding Bane, Trial, Converge, and Saves the Day to its roster in the latter part of the decade. Fearless Records
Fearless Records is an American independent record label that was founded in 1994. Fearless is based in Culver City, California, and is best known for its early pop punk moments captured in the ''Fearless Flush Sampler'' and ''Punk Bites'' releases, as well as additional releases by bands such as Bigwig and Dynamite Boy; and later Sugarcult; Plain White T's; The Aquabats; Amely; and post-hardcore releases by At the Drive-In and Anatomy of a Ghost. However, the label has experimented with different styles in recent years. ''Speak in Code'' is the fourth studio album by American alternative rock band Eve 6, released on April 24, 2012, through Fearless Records. It was the band's first album in nine years since the release of '' It's All in Your Head'' in 2003 and is also the only album by the band that was released through Fearless Records. This is the band's last album to feature founding drummer Tony Fagenson, who parted ways with the band in April 2018. Background The band signed with Fearless Records on May 3, 2011 and started planning on entering the studio that June to record their fourth album with producer Don Gilmore. Recording Various Evelogs were released on the band's official website throughout the band's recording of the album. It's All In Your Head (Eve 6 Album)
''It's All in Your Head'' is the third studio album by American rock band Eve 6. The album was released on July 22, 2003 through RCA. Background Released right before they were dropped from RCA Records and subsequently went on hiatus in 2004. Although the album is praised by fans, it is considered an experimental album, which may explain the lackluster sales that led to the band's release from their RCA contract. The first single, "Think Twice", was a hit on alternative rock radio stations. The second single, "At Least We're Dreaming", highlighted a darker side of Eve 6. "Girlfriend" was intended to be the third single from the album, but Eve 6 was released from their contract with RCA before an official release. ''Horrorscope'' is the second studio album by American rock band Eve 6. It was recorded at NRG Recording Studios in North Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, North Hollywood, California. The album was influenced by Lit (band), Lit's ''A Place in the Sun (Lit album), A Place in the Sun'' (1999). It was released on July 25, 2000, through RCA Records. The neologism "Horrorscope" is not actually used within the album's lyrics; though the chorus of "Sunset Strip Bitch" contains the proper word "horoscope." It is the only Eve 6 album to receive a Parental Advisory sticker. The LP (from long playing or long play) is an Analog recording, analog sound storage medium, specifically a phonograph record format characterized by: a speed of revolutions per minute, rpm; a 12- or 10-inch (30- or 25-cm) diameter; use of the "microgroove" groove specification; and a vinyl (a copolymer of vinyl chloride acetate) composition disk.
