''Elephant King'' is a 2012 album by Trace Bundy. This two-disc set includes a full-length studio CD and a full-feature live DVD. Critical reception Dave Kirby of the ''Boulder Weekly'' said: "What becomes obvious is that, for a guy who has mastered the fiendish intricacies of multi-voiced fingerstyle guitar, the center of the universe is still melody." Kelly Tasker of Grateful Web reviewed the album and had this to say: "This is Bundy's most diverse and complex effort to date, and he accomplishes it all with finesse and a playful spirit that shines through on every track." Trace Bundy
Trace Bundy is an American acoustic guitar player who lives and performs in Boulder, Colorado. He is known to fans as "The Acoustic Ninja" for his legato and finger tapping skills. Bundy's guitar playing style is percussive and harmonic: he plays with both hands on the fretboard, intricate finger picking arpeggios and inventive use of multiple capos. He was showcased and eventually discovered on websites such as YouTube and Facebook. Early life and development of playing style Bundy was born in Austin, Minnesota and later moved to the small town of Buena Vista, Colorado. As a boy Bundy and his brother bought a guitar together, and Bundy began learning songs from guitar magazines. Bundy is right-handed. During his teenage years he began experimenting with his playing style. He gave up using a guitar pick, and instead grew his fingernails long to develop his fingerpicking style. The paper is a member of the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies (AAN) and is owned and published by Stewart Sallo. Overview Following the Loma Prieta earthquake in 1989, Sallo decided it was time to leave Santa Cruz, Calif., where he owned and published two other publications — ''Summer Santa Cruz'' and ''Student Guide''. By 1992, he had set his sights on Boulder, Colo. He moved to Boulder in 1993, and the first edition of ''Boulder Weekly'' hit the stands on Aug. 19 of that year. Brian McRae
Brian Wesley McRae (; born August 27, 1967) is a former center fielder in Major League Baseball who played for the Kansas City Royals, Chicago Cubs, New York Mets, Colorado Rockies and Toronto Blue Jays from to . McRae is the son of former major league All-Star, Hal McRae, and was also managed by the elder McRae for four seasons with Kansas City. It was only the fourth occurrence of a major league manager managing his own son. McRae was a switch hitter and threw right-handed. His batting average was 38 points higher from the right side with a slugging average 24 points higher but his on-base percentage was only seven points higher. McRae was a leadoff batter far more often (47%) than any other position in the lineup (second most was 22% batting second).
