''Elegy'' is the fourth studio album by American deathcore band Shadow of Intent. The album was released on January 14, 2022. It is their first album with drummer Bryce Butler of Contrarian. The album was ultimately met with great critical acclaim. A deluxe edition of the album was released digitally on September 9, 2022. An orchestral version of the album titled ''Elegy: The Soundtrack'' was released on March 8, 2024. The band has done some touring in support of the album. In October and November 2021, the band and Signs of the Swarm supported Born of Osiris in the ''Angel or Alien'' tour. In early 2022, Shadow of Intent toured the United States alongside Cannibal Corpse, Whitechapel, and Revocation. Shadow of Intent is an American deathcore band from Connecticut. They formed in 2013 as a ''Halo (franchise), Halo''-themed Studio band, studio project by Ben Duerr and Chris Wiseman. They are not signed to a label and have released all their albums independently. Signs of the Swarm is an American deathcore band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, formed in 2014. The band has released five studio albums, and consists of drummer Bobby Crow, vocalist David Simonich, guitarist Carl Schulz and bassist Michael Cassese. History Formation, ''Senseless Order'', and ''The Disfigurement of Existence'' (2014–2018) Signs of the Swarm was founded in 2014 with the initial lineup of vocalist CJ McCreery, guitarists Rodney Fabiann and Jacob Toy, bassist Collin Barker, and drummer Bobby Crow. Testament is an American thrash metal band from Berkeley, California. Formed in 1983 under the name Legacy, the band's current lineup includes rhythm guitarist Eric Peterson, lead vocalist Chuck Billy, lead guitarist Alex Skolnick, bassist Steve Di Giorgio and drummer Chris Dovas. Testament has experienced many lineup changes over the years, with Peterson being the only remaining original member, though they have since reunited with Skolnick, who left the band from 1992 but rejoined in 2005. Charles Billy (born June 23, 1962) is an American singer who is best known as the lead vocalist for thrash metal band Testament. Career Testament Billy joined Legacy in 1986, replacing vocalist Steve "Zetro" Souza who would later join Exodus. Fleshgod Apocalypse is an Italian symphonic death metal band. Formed in 2007, the group resides in Perugia and are currently signed to Nuclear Blast. History Formation and ''Oracles'' (2007–2009) Fleshgod Apocalypse was formed in April 2007 by Francesco Paoli (formerly frontman of the band Hour of Penance). They recorded their first demo, ''Promo '07'', at 16th Cellar Studio, in Rome, with producer Stefano "Saul" Morabito, releasing it shortly after. Revocation is an American technical death metal band from Boston, Massachusetts, consisting of guitarist and vocalist Dave Davidson and drummer Ash Pearson. Whitechapel is an American deathcore band from Knoxville, Tennessee. The band is named after the Whitechapel district in east London, England, where Jack the Ripper committed a Whitechapel murders, series of murders. The group comprises vocalist Phil Bozeman, guitarists Ben Savage, Alex Wade, and Zach Householder, bassist Gabe Crisp and drummer Brandon Zackey. Their core lineup, with the exception of the drummer, has remained consistent since Householder replaced original guitarist Brandon Cagle in 2007.
